In addition to County, Wrexham and Colwyn Bay getting knocked back, my own club, Ynysddu Crusaders FC, had an application for 88 tickets refused (handed in personally on Wednesday 16 February, two days before the FAW's extended deadline). Also, I am aware that another two local clubs, Risca United and Cwmcarn Athletic, have both suffered the same fate.
Only 40,000 tickets had been sold as at 31st January, which is why the FAW extended the original deadline by 18 days. How on earth they managed to sell another 20,000+ tickets in less than ten days after this is where the big mystery lies. Something very strange going on.
