2012 African Cup of Nations [Qualifiers] Empty 2012 African Cup of Nations [Qualifiers]

2012 African Cup of Nations [Qualifiers] 2012_Africa_Cup_of_Nations_logo
The 2012 African Cup of Nations will be the 28th edition of the African Cup of Nations. It will be co-hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea. Fourty four (44) other nations will battle it out to join the two hosts in the tournament. All 11 group winners (and the runner-up from Group K) and the two best runner-ups (from groups A-J) will qualify to the tournament.

CAF later announced that this qualification will serve as the qualification for the 2013 African Cup of Nations. This comes after the decision to change the tournaments to odd years instead of the current pattern. The 2013 African Cup of Nations will be hosted by Libya. The qualifiers for the 2012 African Cup of Nations will receive a bye and automatically jump to the final round of qualifying for the 2013 African Cup of Nations. The final round of qualifications will consist of one tie, home and away.

For now. If they can get their stuff together, they are allowed back in the qualifiers.

EDIT: FIFA temporarily lifted the ban that was recently imposed on the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) due to government interference.

    17 November 2010
    Botswana 1-0 Tunisia
    Togo 0-0 Chad

Botswana are on the verge of a historic qualification to the 2012 and 2013 African Cup of Nations tournaments after their victory over Tunisia for the second time in the group. Botswana need to defeat Chad in their next match to secure qualification or draw with Chad and hope Malawi don't defeat Togo.

Qualifications will be on break for now and resume again on 25 March 2011.

One of the worst halves I've ever seen. Both teams are so shit and they both seem to want to draw. I don't know why Shehata has Zidan and Treka on the bench. They must come on in the second half.

He isn't a reserve. He was a starter before his injury. Now he is used as a sub (usually plays the last 20 mins). Elmo plays regularly for Sunderland.

To answer your question, Egyptians don't adapt well abroad and become impatient when they don't play regularly.

Fuck you Hassan Shehata. You are a fucking low life. Get the fuck out of the country. If the FA don't sack him, I'm going to be so pissed.

First, he puts our two best players on the bench for 80 minutes. He has been screwing up with the starting lineup for far too long. Your glory days are over, bitch. You might have won 3 consecutive African Cups, but our Olympic team which played last night could have done a better job. Then he tells our team to pass the ball around the whole game. It's like he wanted us to lose or at the most draw.

South Africa played like pure shit. My friends and I could have beaten them. There goes our chances of qualifying to the 2012 African Cup. It puts us in an even shittier situation for the 2013 African Cup. Lastly, Shehata has been a supporter of Mubarak during the revolution. We don't want him anymore.

Here is my proposal. Sack everyone: coaches and players.

Promote the whole Olympic team for the remaining African Cup matches.

It's held every 2 years. CAF decided to hold it every odd year, so there will be one in 2012 and 2013 for the change.

The 2012 African Cup? I don't know. We are still in qualifiers so I don't even know who is going to play in the actual tournament. But probably Ghana or Ivory Coast. If Egypt can qualify, then they will be favorites by tournament time.
