Re: Dragon Age II
Yeah, the first one you can change race too, each race has a different start to the game. I.E. if you choose elf you start in an alienage, if you start as a dwarf you start in orezimmar. The first is much better for customizability, but you don't have a voiced character.

If you're a Dalish Elf you star in the forest, not the alienage though.

Re: Dragon Age II
Finished the game, this is what I think about this glorious game.
- Spoiler:
- Wow, just wow. Seemed to take aaaaaaaaaages, my only disappointment was that I was never able to interect with that Cassandra Pentegost. Made it feel that what I'd achieved was only a small part of the big story. Also it there were some difficult choices, but I ended up killing Anders and siding with the mages. I'll reload a save soon and side with the templars. tbh you feel like your on your own in the game. Each party member seems to cause trouble, especially Merril and Anders. The templars are dicks and the mages are addicted to blood magic. However it was brilliant to encounter Alistair, Leliana, and Zevren. Plus I'd already encountered Anders and Isabella in the first game. Would have been nice to side with the Quanari or maybe meet up with the one from the first game. Overall though, much improved graphics, a great looking and talking main character, frequent plot twists and a good storyline. Favourite moment....Fenris' character quest. I had the option to let him kill or spare his own half-sister! Massive. Worst would be when I realised I couldn't recruit that Quanari Mage. He ended up burning himself alive. Really annoying

Re: Dragon Age II
Just beat the game
was gutted Fenris went against but when I sided with the Mages, although I chose to let Anders live because I had a soft spot for him. I promised Isabella I would go on her ship with her and banged her and Merrill but at the end It said I stayed with Merrill so don't know what happend there. Varric was a cool character, thought I was going to hate him to begin with but he really grew on me.

Varric is the best character in that game by a distance imo. The characters in the first are better, Alistair and Leliana

I thought Anders was a great character too, Although I assume he's alot better if you're fem/hawke because of the romance even though I think my guy was gay for him I really liked him, couldn't bring myslef to kill him either.

I felt that way about Fenris, I really liked him. Thought he had a really good backstory and all but everytime I was nice to him he threw it back at me. Anders just wanted to get into my trousers.
But they were for Merrill and Isabella only

Go play the first one Mouse. Only a few quid and it's better than the 2nd.

Think i'm going to have to know Jord, But I didn't realise you don't play as Hawke
although this Morrigan sounds interesting.

Varric has the best voice-actor and Fenris is the most interesting character. I started a new play through as a female mage but my sister died instead of my brother.

Don't miss that game. Morrigan is a top class bitch, Anders and Lelianna are also great characters.

The brother is a grade A douche, whereas the sister is quite nice.

I played DA2 all the way through in like 3 days.
I then tried DA1 and got bored maybe 8 hours in.

It's because you played the the wrong way around. The second is way more streamlined, so it's difficult to go back to DA:O because it feels quite bad to play compared. It's easily better if you can get over that though.

Doesn't really make sense.
I was playing it for a good amount of time...it just didn't feel as good to me in any way.
Admittedly, there were flaws in DA2...but it was more polished...the skills made more sense, there was more freedom in terms of travelling from place to place....and shopping. The basics which make a game convenient or not weren't that great....generally for me rpgs can become boring for me..it takes a lot of good things to make up for what I think makes rpgs bad. Really...I couldn't bare to play Fallout, I had more fun doing nothing I hated it that much.
Character wise...not really much difference....preferred the cinematics in DA2.
The guy saying "Enchantmennnnnt" sounded more lively in DA2 (a massive plus point ).

I found the final boss fight rather easy, especially compared to the one in DA Origins.

It's been out for ages now, you should have played it already.
I'm gonna get the DA2 DLC today and play it.

- Spoiler:
- At the end the soul of the final dragon boss must go into a grey warden (also killing the grey warden) if they want to kill it. Morrigan offers an alternative, get her up the duff and then the baby can take the soul safely and be born as an old god. You can either let this happen and she runs off with the baby, or you can refuse and she just runs off.

That's not really true. The previous game was better anyway. I've still got both because it's my second or third favourite RPG series. Loved both of them, also easier to be a bad guy than in Skyrim.
I want to play it now.
Zzonked, any news of the DA 3?
