Next thing you'll be telling me you were born inside LDU's stadium.
Penarol win 1-0. Should have had more TBH. Both semifinal ties are nicely set up for next week.

Hmm... I'm not Luke.
I really am from North Quito and lived there until I was 13.

So I claimed I would watch the whole semi-final to watch Alvarez, mission failed. How did he play?

Re: Copa Santander Libertadores 2011
He was pretty lively on the left flank. Did some nice dribbling, set up a couple of chances. Nothing overly impressive though.

Re: Copa Santander Libertadores 2011
Where do I start.
The kid has the potential to become a monster. He has everything talent wise. Dribbling, speed, vision, skill, you name it. He has it. It's the other things that need some work, and those have improved immensely in the last month since Ramalho took over. He has stopped arguing with refs, and the diving has been non-existent, though he still goes down a bit easily sometimes. He has really adapted physical side of play in the Libertadores. It takes a lot more for the refs to give calls than in Brazil.
Santos are now in the semis, and look good to go to the final. He has dragged the team through the knockout rounds. Last night was the worse game I've seen his play recently, and he was still the 2nd best player on the pitch. I'd give him about 7 straight MOTM awards this month. Neymar has been carrying the attack almost single-handedly with Ze Eduardo already mentally in Italy, and Ganso (before his recent injury) being inconsistent.
Is he ready to make the jump? I would say he is. Of course, he is still a bit immature, but that'll eventually wear off - I hope. Some of the stuff I see him do in games, I wonder what would happen if he were playing in fluid team with better players around him. Mouthwatering to say the least.
To be even more specific, could he handle himself in the Premier League? Once he has bulked up, and gotten used to the style and speed he would definitely shine.
A caveat though is is this progress he has shown has only been a result of Ramalho being the coach. It would be sad to see him regress if there were a coaching change.

Didn't even notice that when I was writing it. I love his writing style though, so maybe I unconsciously copied it.

Re: Copa Santander Libertadores 2011
I think Neymar would just be another Torres at Chelsea. Neither fit the style Chelsea play. So unless the next manager changes things they'll both be flops.

I think Penarol will take it all.
Yes Santos are the favorites, but history will repeat itself.

Santos is about to repeat History, and will not win a Libertadores title after this defeat.

You lot think Santos are going to bottle it with
Neymar, Ganso, Elano ect?
Not being sarcastic or anything, just wondering..
