Probably about 10 years ago now, Rangers v Aberdeen at Ibrox. Game finished 2-0 to Rangers. McCann scored straight from a corner for the first goal, a really good goal I seem to remember, although I was like 10 at the time. I was stunned at such a thing happening at a real game. I;d never even imagined it a possibility.

Considering the defence is prepared and set and the ball has to beat ALL of them including the goal keeper… especially at elite level… I think it’s a shame the goal-scorer gets criticized for having some dumb-luck.
Add in a defensive mistake to some dumb luck (and nearly all goals have that as well) and you’ve got yourself one of the rare Direct Corner Kick Goals / Olympic Goals.
