West Brom manager Roberto Di Matteo has been relieved of his duties and put on gardening leave with immediate effect.
The Baggies lost 3-0 at Manchester City on Saturday and the club cited the side's run of 13 defeats in 18 games as the reason for their decision.
"This has been a tough decision," said West Brom chairman Jeremy Peace.
"But we, as a board, believe it is the right one to give the club the best possible chance of remaining in the Premier League."
More to follow.

Seriously? Would be good if they did. He just isn't good enough for a big club.

If Holloway had gone aswell, that wouldve been all 3 managers that got their teams promoted, sacked. What a joke.
Surely the objective of the 1st year in the Premiership is to stay up? At least give the manager the year he deserves for getting his team there in the first place..

This.
They didn't even play that badly against us, they were just a touch vulnerable at the back.

Big Sam to replace him?
By the way, I wouldn't be surprised if Di Matteo was our next manager

That's the problem with having a brilliant start as a newly promoted team, gives false expectations. They were 5th or 6th in like Oct. if their points were more spread out no way he'd get the sack. Dissapointed, he was so stylish too.

So? they should be rock bottom, if you want a statistic then look at the premier league table and tell me where they are and where they should be

I'm just trying to think of a reason why they sacked him.

Newly promoted sides are expected to struggle and West Brom have done well considering how tight the league has been this season. I actually thought West Brom were likely to stay up this season, but they might not now that they've got rid of Di Matteo, depends on who replaces him.
