    Just throwing that out there.

He's not a better centre forward though or a better goalscorer.

Yeah right, if you got Torres, and he continued his amazing goal scoring record for you lot, you'd be creaming over him. And saying he's the best in the world. Even though you don't think he is right now.

No I wouldn't, he doesn't fit in our system imo, our main striker needs to be a Drogba style 'battering ram' who can bully defences.. remember he's the most fouled in the EPL. Torres ankles would be gone every couple of games if he tried to play like Drogba. I'd love Torres goalscoring yes, but he only lasts about half a season. Aguero on the other hand, creates plenty and scores plenty, and can play on the wing too, which is what we need.

This "more complete" lark is a load of bollocks.

Carlton Cole is probably a more complete forward than Torres. What does that mean?

Suarez doesn't even know if he's going to Liverpool yet. He told the press the clubs have to call him first, then he'll believe it. Laughing

Aguero would fit better. Aguero would be perfect for our RW position.

Torres wouldn't put Drogba out of the central spot.. and he can't play on the wing.. so it's a pretty dumb move.

Anyways it doesn't matter Luke, 'cos Nando won't be playing for Chelsea so theres no point having a discussion about it. Messi wouldn't suit Liverpools system for that matter.

That wasn't my point.. why spend 40m for a player who might end up just coming on after 60 mins and being injured most of the time?

He's injury prone, let's face it. It's rare he will play a full season being fully fit, or very close to it.

I said he may only play around half a season.

    Yes, he has.

I believe the staff at Liverpool must've changed his training or something to get that effect this season. Although one is to ponder how would Chelsea handle his training? Torres could very well return to his previous injury-prone, 60-minute player he once was at Chelsea.

I think Luke meant more as an inside role with space to work with on the wing.

IF Torres somehow dramtically ended up at Chelsea (Which won't happen anyway, I'm being hypothetical) He'd be a starter every single for Chelsea, why are Chelsea gunna pay upwards of £70-100m for a player to sit on the bench? Laughing

Not necessarily. Drogba suits our game more then Torres does, as he's the all round package, and can muscle defenders like almost no-one else can. Torres offers something totally different however. It would be interesting to see either of them on the wing, more likely Torres, but I think we'd have to use a 4-4-2 or something similar to incorporate them both.

Anyway, not like it's going to happen anyway so no point discussing it Razz
