It is with regret that the Club has today come to a formal
arrangement with Kamil Zayatte in order to allow the player to go home
    to his family in France.
The Club has retained his playing registration in order to control any future compensation issues.
The decision has been taken on compassionate grounds and is in the
best interests of the player and Hull City AFC. He will therefore leave
    on a permanent basis today.
We would like to thank Kamil for his valuable contribution over the last three seasons and wish him luck for the future.

I would of put this in the Hull thread but this is confusing. What does it mean? He has gone home to his family which to me sounds like there is a problem back home. But it says we have retained his player registration.
I am very surprised because he has been starting games recently. Surely if it was a problem back home he would go home then come back?

Don't move this please, I want to hear other peoples opinions on what they think it means.

Maybe something's happened that requires him to stay in France. In that case, you'd keep his registration so you could sell him to a French club.

His wages and everything has been stopped though.

I'm wondering if he has given up football, like Tevez said he wanted to. And we have kept his registration in case he changes his mind and finds a different club later in life?

I think the point is that he's not playing football right now and he's promised that to Hull. If he were to play again then he'd go back to Hull or Hull would get compensation from whatever team take him on.

Does it mean that he's left but you still have his rights so you can still sell him? I dunno.

I think it is fair to say it is a family/mental issue. I doubt we'll ever find the real reason though which is sad.
