Not bothered about that as long as we don't get any injuries.

Get in!
Quality game, 5-2 and Howson scoring for the first time this year! Then get back to find out Scunthorpe beat Swansea, Preston draw with Norwich and Forest lose at home, class!

Nah we don't do play-offs. Lost 3 times in 4 years, 2 of them in the final. The other year we got relegated

Re: Super Leeds United
Really chuffed we've got Bannan on loan - great player technically. Also, Nunez scored 4 in the reserves today against Lincoln so hopefully should be ready to make the step-up soon.

Fine by me
They've got a re-call clause they can activate after 28 days, I pray they don't.

Re: Super Leeds United
Bumping this thread seen as we have the best striker in the division according to this forum. I personally think Somma is a better forward but Becchio fits the current system better. Bar his hold-up play and aerial presence I don't think there's much else that Becchio is better at.

Somma has 6th best goals per minute ratio in the world as I said in the other thread.

Probably his work rate too, he will always jump to try contest a ball, even in the last moments. Great commitment.
I'm just praying we see more of Paynter, I really believe that goal will help him so much, and he said in his interview how much he was enjoying himself and feeling appreciated. I'm having a fiver on him FGS on Saturday, better re-pay my faith!

6th? I thought it was higher than that. I know he was 1st at some point.
I'd love it if Paynter went on a run too, need to get McCormack scoring (or even featuring) at some point though as well.

Got some decent seats for Saturday, front row of the second tier in the South, close to the Tractor Boys' fans. Excited now, should be a tough game but I would expect to be winning these kinds of games.

Nice.
The only bad thing about where I sit in the kop is getting out of the ground at full time. We usually have to miss the last miute or two of injury time so that we don't have to wait 15 minutes.

True that, I think I'm off out straight after the match though so we can take our time to get out. Don't you have a fairly long journey back home after games?

Re: Super Leeds United
Yeah takes about 2 hours. Already had our season tickets renewed for next season... Bates will most likely rise the prices if we go up.
I've been more home games this season than I've ever been in my life I think.

Re: Super Leeds United
I feel ashamed, I've been to less games this year than I've been to in any other year of my entire life. Even as a baby.
Last year was the first year since 1998 I didn't have a season ticket but I still went to around 20 games in total. This year I've only been to 9.
Also, I had that problem with my seat in the kop so we'd just stand at the rails by the stairs for the last minute and rush out as soon as the final whistle was blown.

We've done that every game apart from the Derby game of course.Ben wrote:I feel ashamed, I've been to less games this year than I've been to in any other year of my entire life. Even as a baby.

The legroom is shit aswell especially as my legs are long. Then again it's only half time when I sit down.
I'm off for now bye.

Re: Super Leeds United
Yeah the leg room at Elland Road is pretty poor, but the very front row of the second tier isn't too bad. Plus, we can bang on the front like hooligans.

Re: Super Leeds United
My season ticket was second row of the second tier (if you can call it that) of the kop. Had a cracking view behind the goal, no one blocking my view either and we were allowed to stand all game anyway. Then when we got relegated the stewards really tightened up on fan control and made it unbearable, we had three stewards and two policemen with big fuck off hats stood in front of us blocking our view all game. They'd shout at us for standing or foul language and completely ignore those who were standing further back.
Final straw when that Saturday Night Fever bloke came and took my dad out at half time and gave my dad a police warning because he asked the policeman to remove his hat cos it'd blocked his view of a goal.

Re: Super Leeds United
We are near the back of the kop and had probably the best view of the Johnson goal vs Arsenal.
The fans started singing stand up if you hate stewards or something like that recently.

Don Revie day today, 50 years since he took over the helm
Also, realised today that last time we were beaten by an English side in the league was October 19th.

Re: Super Leeds United
Jake Livermore joined on loan from Spurs today http://www.leedsunited.com/news/20110324/midfielder-joins-for-promotion-push_2247585_2322560 He's a 6'2' midfielder and hopefully will be able to provide that defensive cover we need. A midfield of Livermore, Bannan, Howson, Gradel and Snoddy is something I could definitely get used to
http://www.thesquareball.net/leeds-united/2011/03/23/east-stand-development-in-pictures/ I also think this is interesting and hope it goes ahead, it will be commercial but the stadium needs a bit of a revamp and it'd bring loads of money in.
Also, Nunez has gone out on loan to Scunny today and Clayton to the MK Dons. Still not sure why Larry ever brought either of these two in.
