Half Term Report! Empty Half Term Report!

Post by Mr. Hassard Wed Dec 29, 2010 11:34 pm

Okay, i seen this on the Daily Mirror website where they picked a fan from each Premier League team i believe, and asked them these five questions....

    1) How has your club’s season gone so far?
    2) What would be a good finish for your side in the league? Do you fancy your chances in the FA Cup?
    3) Where would you like to strengthen your team in the January window and will it happen? Any particular players you’d like to see at your club?
    4) Are you bothered that England failed to land the 2018 World Cup bid?
    5) Is there one big decision your club has to take or has taken? Will it make or break your season?

I just thought i'd post this on here so use can do your own half-term report on your team. thumb Here's mine on Blackburn. Wink

    1) How has your club’s season gone so far?
Everything was going fine. The team and club was settled, we were sitting comfortably in mid-table with our extremely impressive home record and not so impressive away record. But the moment Venky's sacked Big Sam everything has turned on it's head, and despite yesterdays victory over West Brom i can still see our season falling apart.

    2) What would be a good finish for your side in the league? Do you fancy your chances in the FA Cup?
Before Big Sam got the boot, with the money he was promised to invest on new players, i could have seen the likes of Robbie Keane coming and possibly we could have improved on 10th place last season. But now we'll be lucky if we stay up! As for a cup run i don't know, anything can happen in the cup.

    3) Where would you like to strengthen your team in the January window and will it happen? Any particular players you’d like to see at your club?
I would've liked to have seen Robbie Keane at the club, and possibly an attacking Midfielder (Niko Kranjčar was mentioned) and possibly more width with a signing like Bentley. But i can't see any of those players coming now, but hopefully i've proven wrong.

    4) Are you bothered that England failed to land the 2018 World Cup bid?
Yes. I could've went to a game, but i don't think i'll be going to a World Cup match for many a year now.

    5) Is there one big decision your club has to take or has taken? Will it make or break your season?
One word. Venky's. Need i say anything else?

    Now it's your turn. Cool

    1) How has your club’s season gone so far?
Not so good. We had a great start (2nd in October), put in some great performances, but then it just suddenly starting going downhill, we now find ourselves in the bottom half of the table and looming above the relegation zone going into the new year. Oh well, at least we made it into the semi-finals of the Carling Cup, doubt we'll beat Arsenal though.

    2) What would be a good finish for your side in the league? Do you fancy your chances in the FA Cup?
A good finish would be in the tp 6, anything other then that would be an utter failure. We've got Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the 3rd round of the FA Cup, so i don't fancy our chances.

    3) Where would you like to strengthen your team in the January
window and will it happen? Any particular players you’d like to see at
    your club?

I'd like to see a new CB and LB, got so many defensive problems it's unreal, so we need to sort that out. Although it's hard to tell if it's the players or Roy Keane's tactics.

    4) Are you bothered that England failed to land the 2018 World Cup bid?
Of course, bunch of corrupt bastards at FIFA. We had the by far the best bid but aparently that only counts for 2 out 22 votes.

    5) Is there one big decision your club has to take or has taken? Will it make or break your season?
Get rid of Roy Keane. Overated manager, he's been shite since he's been here.

    1) How has your club’s season gone so far?
Average, losing to 2 promoted teams at home. But somehow we are still up there fighting for the title.

    2) What would be a good finish for your side in the league? Do you fancy your chances in the FA Cup?
Top 4 is the very least, and it's difficult because Man City, Tottenham are quite strong, along with the 'usual' top 4.

    3) Where would you like to strengthen your team in the January
window and will it happen? Any particular players you’d like to see at
    your club?

Defence is too shaky still. Ive watched Sakho & he looks promising. I don't really like Squillaci, I would be happy if we had these 4 CBs: Vermaelen, Djourou, Sakho & Koscielny.

    4) Are you bothered that England failed to land the 2018 World Cup bid?
Yeah because I wanted to go. Sad

    1) How has your club’s season gone so far?

Shaky start, but after sacking Pardew, we've gone from strength to strength, Adkins is lifting morale and we sit in the play off places.

    2) What would be a good finish for your side in the league? Do you fancy your chances in the FA Cup?

Only finishing 1st or 2nd is good for the squad we have. We could go far in this season's FA Cup, Blackpool are beatable.

    3) Where would you like to strengthen your team in the January window and will it happen? Any particular players you’d like to see at your club?

We need a new striker, Connolly's good, but is too slow and weak to play every week.

    4) Are you bothered that England failed to land the 2018 World Cup bid?

    Yes, corrupt cunts at FIFA.

    5) Is there one big decision your club has to take or has taken? Will it make or break your season?

I think sacking Pardew was the big decision, and it should make our season Smile.

I've changed it a bit to fit a Danish league fan:

    1) How has your club’s season gone so far?

This season, that has reached winter break by now, has us in 9th place, 5 points clear of relegation - 7/8 points clear of an European place. Since I would prefer a top 6 finish, which is only 2 points away, it's going decently in the league, that has been way to even for teams that aren't FCK. In the cup, we've reached the semi-final, and I would like us to defend the title

    2) What would be a good finish for your side in the league? Do you fancy your chances in the EB Cup?
A good finish would be top 6. There's a good chance for defening the EB cup title. My guess is that we'll have a final identical to the one last season (FCN - FCM)

    3) Where would you like to strengthen your team in the January window and
will it happen? Any particular players you’d like to see at your club?

Can't think of any particulat players, but we need more defenders, a left winger and a striker who knows where the goal is.

    4) Are you bothered that England failed to land the 2018 World Cup bid?
A little bit, it would be easier to ravel to England.

    5) Is there one big decision your club has to take or has taken? Will it make or break your season?
Be more focused on the cup or the league. Either could make or break the season.

    1) How has your club’s season gone so far?
Absolutely crapply. Going out to a League 2 side in the League Cup, losing to Blackpool and sitting in 12th at Christmas are among particular highlights.

    2) What would be a good finish for your side in the league? Do you fancy your chances in the FA Cup?
Not at all, we've got Man United. A good finish? In the European places at least - anything else would be a disaster.

    3) Where would you like to strengthen your team in the January window and will it happen? Any particular players you’d like to see at your club?
In the managerial department hopefully. If not, ship out the crap that Hodgson brought in (including Cole) and bring back Insua and Aquilani. Both free after all, probably can't/won't. Need a LB, a striker, a winger on both sides as well wouldn't be bad.

    4) Are you bothered that England failed to land the 2018 World Cup bid?
Not really, after all, we'll be the ones that would pay for it. The only issue is who it was given to.

    5) Is there one big decision your club has to take or has taken? Will it make or break your season?
    Bring Rafa back.

    1) How has your club’s season gone so far?
Well looking at where we are in the leaguer and how many times we have cocked up I'm surprised we're still at the top. Our away form needs improving, only one win this season. Other from that we keep winning, still unbeaten and look strong. I wonder what I'll be saying come the end of the season Neutral

    2) What would be a good finish for your side in the league? Do you fancy your chances in the FA Cup?
Given how the league has been like the last 2 years a top 3 finish wouldn't be too bad. Although, looking at how some teams are playing - Chelsea in particular I fancy our chances of winning the league. I always think we can do well in the FA Cup, you have to. How ever the FA Cup brings out all sort of results and anything can happen, that's the magic of the cup. Facing Liverpool wont be easy, put the form to the side and this is a derby where teams play their hearts out.

    3) Where would you like to strengthen your team in the January window and will it happen? Any particular players you’d like to see at your club?
I would like a new CM although that could wait till the Summer when Giggs and Scholes get one step closer to retirement Sad I would like one like Hamsik but it depends on how Anderson, Gibson and Cleverley turn out like.

    4) Are you bothered that England failed to land the 2018 World Cup bid?
A bit. The facilities are already in place apart from an few. Already holding major sporting events so we we be capable of holding another and fully deserved it.

    5) Is there one big decision your club has to take or has taken? Will it make or break your season?
Glazers out would improve the club financially.

Shit. Best squad we've had in ages and we had no injuries at the start of the season but have failed to produce.... this is due to underperforming players and shit tactics/substitutions from Moyes

    2) What would be a good finish for your side in the league? Do you fancy your chances in the FA Cup?

    No

Stop favouring certain players and drop them if they are underperforming (e.g Saha, Arteta)

Won't do the questions. But my assesment would be, way above expectations. Still the objective is to stay in the league, a top half finish would be good and is realistic, don't think we are quite ready for play offs but 10 games unbeaten is definitely play off form!

As for the cup, I am not expecting to beat Arsenal but there again we all know what happened last year...

In summary, we are far above where we expected to be, but we need to tighten up in defence and learn how to close out games better if we want to stay here!

Good enough, Top of the league with games in hand, into the next round of the Champions League. If we hadn't drew so many we could have been running away with the title Neutral

Not in January. We'll need to strengthen in summer though, goalkeeper is pretty much vital, maybe a central midfielder and a striker.

    1) How has your club’s season gone so far?
Very good. Despite a slow start, and our away form being poor - average at best - we find ourselves in 8th, 1 point off the Play Offs, and have up to 4 games in hand over the sides above us. Still unbeaten at home, winning most of those games aswell which has been fantastic. Still playing the quick attacking football we shown last season aswell which is nice.

    2) What would be a good finish for your side in the league? Do you fancy your chances in the FA Cup?
Top 2 would be an expected finish tbh. Had we started the season better and turned some of our draw into wins we would be up with QPR challenging for the title. Finishing 6th is the minimum, anything below would be a disaster for the squad we have. Couldn't care less about the FA Cup, i'd much prefer us concentrate on the League and claim our place back in the Premier League. But I do think we'll get to the 4th round as we have Preston away. A trip to Anfield would be nice; if Liverpool get through that is. It would be a big game, good away trip, and it's winnable.
    3) Where would you like to strengthen your team in the January window and will it happen? Any particular players you’d like to see at your club?
Don't think we need to strengthen, just turn the loan signings of Bertrand and Tudgay into permanent ones. Bertrand has been quality all season, and in the 2 games that Tudgay has played he's already becoming a fan favourite after 3 goals in 2 games including a brace over Derby. If Wilson is sold to Celtic, we'd probably need a Centre Back as cover for Chambers and Morgan.

    4) Are you bothered that England failed to land the 2018 World Cup bid?
Yes. Clearly had the best bid, but FIFA are corrupt wankers and gave it to Oil Countries. But in a way, I'm glad we didn't get it. It means Forest get to stay at the City Ground, and you can't get atmospheres like there was at tonights game in a modernised breakfast bowl ground.

    5) Is there one big decision your club has to take or has taken? Will it make or break your season?
The only thing I could think of would be to get rid of David Pleat and the transfer panel and let Billy Davies make his own signings. Every transfer window the problem pops up and it leads to all sort of speculation that Billy has fell out with the board and is on the verge of quitting.

    1) How has your club’s season gone so far?
Absoloutely brilliant. Playing nice attracive passing football for as long as I can remember and we are currently in the play offs and no longer fighting in a relagation battle as we have the last 5 seasons.

    2) What would be a good finish for your side in the league? Do you fancy your chances in the FA Cup?
If we can stay around the play offs then that will be great. 5th - 10th would be a success.

    3) Where would you like to strengthen your team in the January window and will it happen? Any particular players you’d like to see at your club?

A target man striker could be useful as we only have 2 current strikers.
Not that bothered as our forwards have been brilliant this season.

    4) Are you bothered that England failed to land the 2018 World Cup bid?

Yes, wanted to attend a world cup whilst still young and not a miserable old bastard.

    5) Is there one big decision your club has to take or has taken? Will it make or break your season?

No. Maybe keeping our forwards together in order for us to challenge at the top of league 2.

Dou you have the link because i would like to read what the Blues fan said about us...please

    1) How has your club’s season gone so far?
Prem- Not that great, wasnt expecting a season like last year but wasnt expecting to be this low down. Performances have varied resulting in a lot of draws
Carling Cup- Brilliant, 2 games away from Wembley and we beat Villa

    2) What would be a good finish for your side in the league? Do you fancy your chances in the FA Cup?
    Prem- top 17
Fa Cup no, Carling is a big posibility...if Ipswich do everyone a favour

    3) Where would you like to strengthen your team in the January window and will it happen? Any particular players you’d like to see at your club?
We need a striker who is clinical eg Keane and a midfielder with a bit of flair and creativity eg Dos Santos

    4) Are you bothered that England failed to land the 2018 World Cup bid?
Some people blame us after the Villa fight plus we werent involved in terms of stadiums anyway so nope not really

    5) Is there one big decision your club has to take or has taken? Will it make or break your season?
Chairman- No, even if we are still down there i cant see them sacking Alex
McLeish- Needs to decide on January players and deciding whether to introduce more squad players. We have 8 games in 2 weeks i think and our players will be drained
