I didn't realise he was ignoring me in the sense of adding me to his ignore list, someone quote my questions, they need to be answered. Ahly-KoaC has a duty as a Muslim to answer them. I would hate for him to go to Hell because he is being an ignorant fucker.

@NZG, I had put RR on my ignore list then removed him just to laugh. I think I have enough self control to just read his posts and not respond at all, even for the most simple and genuine of questions.

Why is 'We adorned the lower levels of heaven with lamps" easier to understand than "Stars are enormous balls of fire burning far far away"? I put it to you that it's not, but the writers of the Koran had no fucking idea what stars actually were.

Why is "mountains exist to prevent the earth from quaking" easier to understand for uneducated people than "great plates of land moving together forms mountains".

I've been pondering this myself for some time. Been thinking I could use some insight.

The problem with the way this debate has gone is that AhlyKoaC has been so intellectually dishonest and ignorant that he's created a really negative and hostile atmosphere between us, always accusing me of trolling and such when he can't come up with decent answers, and at times outright lying. Now, even if I do completely stump him, nail him to the wall and make him reconsider his position, he would never have the humility or the honesty to admit it, he'd just hide away behind his ignore list. It's a shame.

Seems like a lot of these debates are that way though. In my experience, a lot of people base their religions on spiritual experiences, not factual debates that prove their beliefs to be scientifically true. It doesn't really make sense to do so anyway, because if there is a God or force that put everything into motion, etc., then it wouldn't be required to obey to any form of logic or science to be able to exist.

But middle aged Christians did believe it, because religion said so. We've proven through knowledge that the earth is indeed round and nobody has questioned it since.

Now, take a look at the two questions RR posed and use your intelligence and knowledge to come to a reasonable conclusion.
