Why is 'We adorned the lower levels of heaven with lamps" easier to understand than "Stars are enormous balls of fire burning far far away"? I put it to you that it's not, but the writers of the Koran had no fucking idea what stars actually were.
Why is "mountains exist to prevent the earth from quaking" easier to understand for uneducated people than "great plates of land moving together forms mountains".
