This is a really poor debate topic, but i'd thought i'd spice it up and make it Christmassy.

I think: No, spending it with the family is better, if there sportsmen aswell surely 1 day can't hurt?

No they shouldn't, they're sports players not emergency services.

Well considering they have a game the next day, yes. Should be an easier & shorter training session though.

If they were to get rid of boxing day games then no they shouldn't have to train on Christmas day.

IIRC Lech Poznan players do a parade or something on Christmas day.

If Arsenal have a game on boxing day i would hope they have at least a short training session on Christmas day so they are sharp and prepared.

If you have one team of players who all ate turkey and chocolates all day then on team who trained etc obviously the one who trained will have an advantage.

No they shouldn't. If they aren't prepared or fit enough for a game the next day then they shouldn't be footballers.

    1 day off won't hurt.
