Christmas eve movies/Christmas day movies (post some)

I feel like both have a distinct feel to them. For me, Christmas day movies don't have to be about christmas, just something family appropriate to relax to. Christmas eve movies have to be about christmas to get you in the mood.

I love how it has such a 90s feel to it.

I remember that I got took to hospital because I couldn't move my knee (think it was cramp) and missed a day of school, made my dad come home from some foreign land, only to be absolutely fine, then go home and watch this movie.

Die Hard is actually a really good christmas film, it's set at christmas.


For me it has to be Home Alone 1 and to a lesser extent 2

The Muppets Christmas Carol. Cannot be beaten. Any version of that film really. An absolute classic!

I always start reading the book a day or 2 before Xmas aswell and make sure I finish if by Christmas Eve night.

Love alot of the movies already posted, such as Jingle all the way, Bad Santa, Elf and The Santa Clause.

Apart from those already mentioned, I loved The Muppets Christmas Carol. One of the first videos I remember having and I watched it to death, even in the summer. Not seen it in about 10 years but I could probably still recite every line.

Elf is class.

Forgot about The Grinch too. That was class 'n aw.

How could I forget The Grinch? I even loved the Jim Carrey version.

The Jim Carrey version was boss.

I don't know if you're making a joke there, but yes, the santa clause in a contract is a key part of the film.

I'm not making a joke, I never realised that. Haven't seen it in years.

Home Alone

I'll make an effort to watch as many films as I can over Christmas, it's the only time of the year I watch TV. Ended up watching more than one kids film last year



Toy Story is always a good watch at that time of year.

Any Pixar film really.
