I couldn't imagine that Leonardo would be a front runner for the job though..

When I was at school, the other pupils voted me: "Pupil most likely to end up in a mental institution."
They got that wrong!
Turns out I'm actually: "Only pupil who didn't die in a mysterious unexplained accident."

He only does well with poor teams.
He'd be perfect at Bari who are bottom.

Zeman did well enough at Roma and Lazio. He is a bit causive though, so he often ends up rubbing people the wrong way.
Give him credit, he saw the Calciopolo scandal coming from a mile away.

He did great at Foggia though.

You said he only did well with poor teams, that was why I only mentioned Lazio and Roma.
What he did with Foggia was a miracle. They're in sixth this season though under Zeman, so I don't think they're being promoted to Serie B. What a pity.
8-3-7, 37 scored, 33 conceded. Typical Zeman. I was talking to a Foggia fan a couple of months back, he doesn't even watch Serie A. He finds it too boring compared to what he watches every week with Foggia.

I would like to see Foggia and Perugia back in Serie A again.
I liked the fact that when at Foggia he signed players from the 4th division, sold key players and still maintained a good place in the table.

Re: Serie A 2010/2011
The way he played, precedence was given to the system, and the players didn't matter to an extent. All they had to was work hard. That's part of the reason he wasn't courted by big teams. High-profile players don't like the amount of training Zeman requires.
