Ah, I just saw it on twitter, looks like they were including Pre Season for some reason and Bury I think.League games is 10 wins 3 draws 1 loss. We probably could've beaten Chelsea too, if we hadn't have had to use all three subs with in the first half an hour

Is getting slapped around in Europe a requirement for any United manager, or is it just a nice bonus?ResurrectionRooney wrote:Glen Miller wrote:

Slapping Liverpool around every game is an important accomplishment for any United manager.

Re: 2015/16 Premier League
Hardly slapped around. Dominated the game away from home against the top seeds despite a referee who allowed the opponent to cut out player's foot off in the penalty area and face no punishment whatsoever so he could equalise. If we lose four in a row and are dominated in each we can have that conversation.

Fair enough. It was a brave performance against superior opponents.

Re: 2015/16 Premier League
I've seen games where there's a player that should have been sent off but wasn't, sometimes there's a player that gets really lucky and should have seen red twice. But I don't think I've ever seen a match where one player should have had 4 (FOUR) red cards. I think Costa's behaviour is at least on a par with the behaviour of the entire Manchester United team that beat us at Old Trafford in 2004 to end our streak. What an injustice.

Even with us playing with 7 men against 12, Chelsea were still pretty terrible. No improvement on the shit they've been playing all season. Pretty sure even a League 1 side could capitalise when they've got that much of a numbers advantage.

Chelsea were by far the better team, they would have scored anyway and Wenger didn't shake Mourinho's hand. Arsenal were just asking for it and Chelsea were dominating them and Wenger refused a handshake from Mourinho. Sending off or not Chelsea had a goal in the pipeline and Arsenal were lucky they lasted that long, oh and Wenger avoided Mourinho's handshake. Haha, look at Costa down there violently abusing those weak Arsenal players, I'm sure Wenger and Mourinho won't be sharing a bottle of wine later, I heard they didn't shake hands before the game.

Re: 2015/16 Premier League
I'll never understand why players don't use Costa's antics to their advantage. Most players just fall for his tricks, even though he's been doing it for years. Gabriel was stupid as fuck to attempt to slap Costa within the referee's line of sight. So idiotic I blame him fully for Arsenal going down to 10 men. At least Koscielny knew not to react and did the right thing in going down when Costa chest bumped him, etc.
Costa, like Suarez, is someone you only love if he plays/played for your team. Crying about him only serves to satisfy the smug Chelsea fans.
Also, trust Arsenal to be the team that gets Chelsea back on track

Four red cards? Don't be such a fucking girl, they were fighting for the ball. At no point did he use excessive force or brutality or endanger any opponent. It was handbags. Gabriel was rightly sent off for being stupid enough to kick out after a booking.
Laughable hearing Wenger criticise Mike Dean for his naievete. He should be criticising the naievete of the imbecile he signed. Fucking stupid cunts, the pair of them, no wonder Wenger is still Mourinho's bitch.

I never knew fighting for the ball included whacking your opponent in the face.
I never knew fighting for the ball included obstructing your opponent while smothering their face.
I never knew fighting for the ball included aggressively slapping your opponent on the back and scramming their neck.
I never knew fighting for the ball included diving, twice.
I never knew fighting for the ball included kicking your back heel at your opponent, especially in a more obvious and aggressive way than the person that was rightly sent off.
You're absolutely right, no excessive force or brutality here lads.
It was right of you to question my claim of four red cards, I actually now think it should have been five.

None of those are red card offences in their own right, it was all bundled together and treated as a single yellow card as is standard practice. The straight red for what Gabriel did was farcical, but it was a definite second yellow.

Rubbish, sounds like you didn't even watch the game. He smothered and slapped Koscielny sometime before he scratched Gabriel's neck. Enough time in between to stop play and rightfully book him. He also kicked Oxlade-Chamberlain's heel mid-way in the 2nd half. That's two moments where he could have been sent off, anyone disputing that isn't interested in a serious discussion.
Also, Wenger criticised Gabriel and said he was wrong for getting involved and was rightfully sent off. So you're also wrong in that regards.

Sounds like you don't watch the sport. When there's a bit of handbags between players standard practice is to book both of them. Expecting Costa to be sent off for an accumulation of bookable offences is laughable.

The fact is, Rodgers has transformed us in just 2 years. Do you think that's easy? No, it's a crazy achievement. We were a solid 6th-8th team for like, 3 years straight, ffs. Look back at what we were like during Rafa's final season, Hodgson's stint and Dalglish's clusterfuck. Look back at signing the likes of Konchesky, Poulsen, Carroll, Downing, etc.
And then look at us now. He got us back into the Champions League. Something we've not been in for 3-4 years!
If you can't appreciate what a tremendous difference Rodgers has made in just 2 years, then you're just fucking thick.
The best part?
It's still only the beginning.
It's easy to see what he's trying to build here, and we are starting to see it come together. We have been seeing it for the last year and a half and we're only going to get better with the additions we've made this Summer. Particularly in defence.
