RVP hasn't gone anywhere yet, I'd certainly still keep him.

United pretty much signed Darmian as well, might be a bad omen.

I have no idea.
£49m fee agreed for Sterling. Far far too much.

What's so great about Liverpool getting that amount of money is that Brendan Rodgers will entertain us with how he spends it.

We've done well to get 49 million all things considered, but we'll undoubtedly sign some absolute turkeys. Gunning for 6th place might be ambitious this season.

Some people forgo extra income for fulfillment.ResurrectionRooney wrote:Theo Filippo wrote:Change career to playing time in my initial post.
If I moved to a job where I had to work a lot less, got paid a lot more and had a lot more opportunity to achieve the awards I wanted to I'd be pretty happy with thst outcome.

Re: Summer Transfers 2015
I've done the maths and can say it is the best move not for me, but for my family-and that is what is most important to me. Not my glittering career, not my good looks, not the big-money contracts or my success in academics-my family. I called all of the interested clubs a few months ago to explain my decision-hence Daniel Alves' signing his new contract at Barcelona and Real Madrid's pursuit of Danilo-and my family was fully behind me. I want them to grow up in a city that speaks English, a city of prosperity, and a city of culture-and that is why I chose to move to Stoke-on-Trent.SBSP wrote:What are your thoughts on moving to Stoke?

With the degree of financial safety and leisure time that footballers are afforded, he'd probably be able to seek fulfillment in other aspects of life. I imagine that a lot of footballers don't actually love their jobs as much as fans hope and presume they do.

Delph might love playing for England and wants to make sure that he is in a stable setting leading up to the European Championships. That is the only explanation for his decision that I can think of.Ra's al Ghul wrote:Glen Miller wrote:

Re: Summer Transfers 2015
Some people prefer to be a big fish in a small pond. If he moved to City his shitness would be exposed more too, so his reputation would die through lack of play time and exposed shitness. If he'd moved to City I think his career would have followed the path of Scott Sinclair.
Either way I'm happy; I really do reckon he would have cost us points next season.

Re: Summer Transfers 2015
Just what we needed a below average player to fill our English quota by riding the bench.

Re: Summer Transfers 2015
Better to have a cheap below average player riding the bench than a hugely overpriced one expecting a spot in the first team. At least you haven't done anything stupid like blowing your transfer budget on someone like that.

Di Maria and Falcao leaving, De Gea wanting out, Ramos using United to get a better contract at Madrid, Otamendi going to City instead of United, Pedro going to Chelsea despite United chasing him for more than a month.
Some pulling power.

If we were that fucking interested we'd have activated his buyout clause. We've signed the Germany captain from Bayern Munich, our pulling power can't be that bad.

Apparently we turned him down because we had someone else lined up. Cristiano Ronaldo? No. Gareth Bale? No. Marco Reus? No. Thomas Muller? No.
Saido fucking Mane.

Ruthless player. He held his own in the best front 3 of modern football. No idea how he will be now but if he can still finish well it's a great signing.

Not quite sure what to make of that. That 2013-2014 stat completely interrupts the trend.
