The most interesting thing here is the goalkeeper scores this own goal is on loan from Ajax, you be the judge. I do not think this video mentions but before this own goal the score was 1-1 and this happened in the 88th minute.

Go Ahead Eagles keeper failure or intentional?

Think it's just bad goalkeeping and bad defending. He should really take a touch and the defender shouldn't be passing directly towards his own goal like that. It definitely bounces off bumps in the pitch though.

It seems that in this situation the keeper maybe got nervous and he just missed the simple play. Perhaps he knew that he was playing against his parent team and if did well they would want him back for their senior side.

Didn't realise it was against Ajax when I first watched it. Still think it was unintentional, but this is why players shouldn't be allowed to go against their parent club. If your goalkeeper is playing against his parent club you certainly shouldn't fire a backpass at him that's going to go in if he missed it.

Perhaps the keeper is more obsessed with his parent club Ajax more than the team playing for Go Ahead Eagles. I could see thoughts such as if Ajax drop these 2 point they are never going to win the league. We will never know but it sure is interesting to consider.
