It was more than that but not very much, think it was like £20. Only Mal can do it cause he's the founder account. Wasn't there a donate button on the website before? I remember donating £5 last time so it could be renewed.

The accident was last night at about 8:40pm, and I got a text from her at 8pm telling me how she was finally leaving her abusive boyfriend and moving back in with her Dad, this coming Monday.

    I didn't fucking reply. Neutral

Now I can't help but wonder if I replied, would the butterfly effect have taken place, and altered the course of the night? Surely those few seconds of reading a reply from me would have prevented the chain of events that led to the accident?

    Fuck life.

They're both her Mum. One was a day later than the other.

What irks me is, her abusive boyfriend will never know that she was on the verge of leaving him. He'll be at her funeral, etc, he doesn't deserve to be there.

It's kind of hard to tell. His distinctive voice, nose and mannerisms kind of overshadow any actual acting he does. I generally believe every character he acts, but all of his characters feel similar. He feels natural but that may be because he puts his own personality on the character rather than the other way around.

That's the impression I get.  I've heard a lot of people make snide comments about his abilities, but I've quite enjoyed a few of his performances.  I guess he's just not very diverse.

Thank you for recommending Wesley Anderson to me, by the way.

You are welcome, he is a very reliably good director.

I like what I've seen of Woody Allen so far, although that's only Midnight in Paris and Annie Hall.

I haven't seen much Woody Allen but I get the feeling he's probably a bit like Wes Anderson. They both have distinctive dialogue and rhythm and other stuff. Basically I'm saying they're both fairly recognizable even if you didn't know who the director was.

I've seen Midnight in Paris, Blue Jasmine and Vicky Cristina Barcelona.

My advice is this, make friends early with people on your course. Everyone there knows nobody, don't be afraid to start talking to someone.

I failed at this because I by coincidence ended up living with a girl off my course first year, so I just talked to her for the whole first few weeks. Was annoying when we moved into different modules and I didn't know anyone in my lessons.

I can't even tell the difference between good and bad acting 90% of the time.

They let you live with someone of the opposite gender? scratch  They don't allow that over here.

Meeting people is quite tough if you don't go out and drink, to be honest.  You'll meet a handful of people by chance (people who live near you, maybe in a class) but most of them drink, so they'll leave you behind after 10PM on Fridays and Saturdays.

My advice is to move out. Some of the people I was paired with at Uni to live with became my best friends, moving out is a massive part of the experience.

That might be an option in the future, I've got friends all ready who are starting and it's been mentioned between us a few times. I think meeting people will come quite naturally anyway as there will be a lot of group projects on the course.
