I failed at this because I by coincidence ended up living with a girl off my course first year, so I just talked to her for the whole first few weeks. Was annoying when we moved into different modules and I didn't know anyone in my lessons.
They let you live with someone of the opposite gender? scratch  They don't allow that over here.

Meeting people is quite tough if you don't go out and drink, to be honest.  You'll meet a handful of people by chance (people who live near you, maybe in a class) but most of them drink, so they'll leave you behind after 10PM on Fridays and Saturdays.

Yeah that is standard here. I lived in private accommodation though, so the uni had no say on what goes there. Even in uni accommodations they can mix genders though.

I think the obvious solution there is to just develop an alcohol dependency.

Honestly peer pressure and whatever aside I love vodka. I look forward to finishing this shitty dissertation so I can drink vodka and orange for days.

I also set up two dates for next week with some girls off tinder, the only downside of which is that I will have to drive and can't drink vodka.

Besides lacking the confidence to use something like tinder, I'm too paranoid to set up a date over social media. I genuinely expect to show up and be confronted by 4 large males lying in the shadows waiting to rob me blind.

Although, I guess I've already done that. Met baby girl over facebook about 5 years ago and we've become pretty close since. shifty

One of the things I love most about FIFA 14 is how the gameplay can change on a dime. Like in the game I just played, the passes I've been making all night just decided to have massive delays before I could make them.

That's what made FIFA online all but unplayable for me in FIFA 14. Not just the passes but it just felt like everything I did was on a one second delay. Very frustrating.

I've been kinda doing this all day and yesterday. Feels real good man when I've been making points then I start reading some books and they totally back me up and give me some juicy quotes to stick in. Reeeeal good mayne.

What irks me is, her abusive boyfriend will never know that she was on the verge of leaving him. He'll be at her funeral, etc, he doesn't deserve to be there.

I don't think it matters if she would have broken up with him or not. Wouldn't you visit an ex's funeral if you could (assuming you don't hate her guts)?

Yeah, but he doesn't deserve to be there, because he'd hit her and choke her and stuff. What a cunt. I can't take his grieving seriously.

    No only Muslims are forbidden.

I kid. They are actually pretty gay about celebrations. You can celebrate but there are many rules. You can't go to ground as part of your celebration, which is why I assume that muslim dude was penalized. You also can't do any kind of pre-planned thing with teammates. You can't dunk the ball over the posts. You can't use the ball as a prop in any kind of mime. Basically anything that might be fun is prohibited.

Basically the things you can do are, dance, get exited and shout, spike the ball or jump into the crowd but that's pretty much it.

Definitely mirin. I want to love outside the UK at one point.

I think they have so many rules about celebrations to just tone down taunting and the really over the top egotistical stuff that players used to do. They're very aware of the league as a brand and I guess they wanted to make the image more serious and less tacky. It's gone way over the top though, especially because the celebrations used to be funny and worthwhile.

Some ridiculous stuff did happen though, like this. Even if it was stupid it was still interesting.
