Yeah it's just the logo isn't it. It would have looked fine if they just had the words chevrolet and not the logo. I guess the company would prefer the logo though.

The kit looks nice but the logo ruins it.

Anyone else think the guy on far left was Chris Smalling for a second?

It's ugly, but it's red, it's got the United logo on it and it earns us £53m a year.  To put that into context, it's more than double the amount the second and third biggest clubs in England get put together.  Even Manchester City's fraudulent deal with Ethihad doesn't come close.

Stylistically I think it looks better on people over 6'. On De Gea it doesn't look so bad, but on Rooney the logos are all too close together.

    TC @TC_MUFC
@English_AS Do you have anything on Di Maria to United for €60m?

    AS English @English_AS
@TC_MUFC Madrid have received 2 offers one from @ManUtd, one from PSG - the United offer is the highest. Van Gaal pushing hard for DM.

    Van Persie @carrick_fan
@English_AS @msh_tonmoy Thanks, do you think he'll join United ?

    @English_AS
@carrick_fan @msh_tonmoy he wants to leave, he may well do - good relationship between the 2 clubs too which will ease things.

Excellent player, always thought it was weird that Arsenal went for that boggle eyed freak who didn't even want to play for them instead of Di Maria, seemed a better for for them.

According to my sources, whom I trust totally, he was waiting for an offer from United all day and only moved to Arsenal when it was clear he had no other options, that's why the deal took so long to complete. You can believe that or not, but it is what happened.

Are United going to sort out their defence? It's even worse than ours, now that Vidic is gone, Rio is gone and Evra is on the cusp of leaving, too.

Vermaelen has been most strongly linked. I'd be very surprised if we go into the season with only those players though. I imagine Valencia will spend a lot more time at right back or wing back next season instead of Smalling and Jones being wasted there.

Cliff notes from the press conference:

Carrick out for about 10 weeks.

Van Gaal claims he's looking to find roles for Paul Scholes, Phil Neville and Nicky Butt if possible, reading between the lines I think he wants the lot of the '92 committee out so they don't stab him in the back.

Doesn't aim for fourth place, aims for first.

Says there won't be any signings for maybe 3 or 4 weeks as he assesses the players to see if they fit into his philosophy.  Not sure I buy that either, even if Smalling, Jones and Evans turn out to be his star pupils we still need at least one more centre back.  In midfield Fellaini and Fletcher are embarrassingly poor, Carrick is knackered and Anderson is a mess.

    Complained about obligations towards sponsors.
