I'm starting to think we won't win the league this season but I reckon we're going in the right direction. Mata's chance conversion has been exceptionally poor in the last few weeks, it's cost us at least 5 points.

I'm the last surviving United fan on here, there's not much constructive to discuss. I've posted several times since we lost though.

Give a bye in the FA Cup and you couldn't take it despite playing the Gaalaticos

No one should worry about the Cambridge United game because several years ago Burton Albion did the same thing and lost 5-0 at Old Trafford. I found it funny that people were calling the game Small United v Big United.

The fact you needed to get them back to old Trafford in the 1st place is shameful.

Not arsed, we've had a lot worse things happen to us than a slightly embarrassing 0-0 in the last year. We're still in the competition, we're still near certainties to get through what's the drama?

It does say a lot for what a massive club we are that one match at Old Trafford will be enough to fund the running of a Football League club for a year. In the third round Accrington Stanley managed to sell out all their tickets for a match against us despite the match being hypothetical.

No drama, just United continuing the shit form they've been in since the 1-1 draw with Villa.

Another way to look at the FA Cup replay against Cambridge is that is another game that the youth team gets to play with each other in a real match. With the depth at Manchester United this does not create a fixture congestion issue.

What a wonderful day this is turning into.

Remnants of Ferguson's senior years being cut out. With any luck Anderson, Jones (Ferguson actually said this fucking chimp would be our best ever player) and Smalling* can follow this useless cunt out the door in summer, if not sooner.

And it say's that McNair wasn't even aware of the plan. So what, Pereira was turned on by the thought of having his cock inches away from this?

I imagine McNair was aware, Pereira is just taking the fall like a good little scumbag. Either that, or Pereira is just a freak-it sounds as if he's tried to organize something like that on another occasion right before the season. Manchester United Football Club

Yeah they must agreed on something before, or he knows for sure McNair would be up for it What a fucked up culture they have at that club, I'm sure I read that a United player had sex in a toilet and got his teammates to record it.

On the sex stories, we're Man United, we'll do what we want - if you don't like it get fucked. Nani and Anderson were initiated by a massive orgy with Ronaldo and several whores and we won the European Cup 9 months later.

Re: Manchester United FC Official Thread
That's true, but that orgy was actually successfully organized, something the current crop of players couldn't manage. If the current Head of Sexual Relations at Manchester United can't even lure in a schoolgirl for a mere threesome with 10,000 quid, how is the squad going to win the Champions League?

Re: Manchester United FC Official Thread
Do you remember the exact inflation rate in football reported in Soccernomics? I just remember it was significantly higher than inflation elsewhere. When I started watching in 2006/2007 only the key 2/3 players from the Big 4 seemed to be on that kind of money, now it seems that even squad players are approaching 6 figures.

Re: Manchester United FC Official Thread
Was inflation in Soccernomics? I read about it extensively in Pay As You Play. It's a little outdated, 2008 or 2009 but he did include the formula to calculate current inflation.
Not sure about Paul Tomkins though. When I read it I thought it was pretty well reasoned/researched but then RR showed me some of his other stuff and he's a spastic.

I don't remember that being in there but I've only read it cover to cover once and that was a couple of years ago. Any rate would be out of date, you'd need some kind of formula but as Keyser says. The homegrown player rule has a massive inflationary effect on players' salaries as well, if we were to go out and buy an English player with the same ability as Jones we'd probably have to pay about £20m for him or leave a space in the squad. If we keep Jones it's about £20m over the term of the contract. Thinking about it like that I'm surprised he not after even fucking more.

To be fair he does seem to be respected by people who are a bit more removed from it, the Soccernomics and Numbers Game guys reference him a fair bit so I'm inclined to think he knows his stuff. I do get the feeling that he started out with a brief of "How can I make Benitez look good?" and worked backwards from there but I'm biased.
