- Spoiler:
- Omar's death was a letdown, he deserved much better. I guess they were trying to show that underhand tactics trump a moral code on the streets, but to be killed out of the blue by a nothing character...that bothered me, although I am open to other ideas.

- I thought they were trying to bring things full circle. With Dookie being the new Bubbles, Michael being the new Omar and I thought that scene showed that Kenard would be the new Marlo/Avon. He's exhibited enough sociopathic behaviour beforehand to show that he has it in him, I mean a few seconds before he killed Omar he was trying to set a cat on fire. He's also young enough to come out of prison and be of an age that will allow him to run a crew and with his rep of killing someone as famous as Omar when he was what? 8-10? He'll have enough respect to be able to do it.

Just gotten round to starting season 3. Season 2 ended a bit strangely, imo. Didn't feel final.

Sticking with the HBO theme I'll say The Sopranos or 6 feet under.

I have not, I had planned to watch that after The Wire, but opted for Vikings to mix it up. Will wait until I've moved back to university, Father will not condone TV-MA under his roof.Stranger wrote:Have you watched True Detective? Think most people in here liked it.

Glen, you won't make it three episodes into The Sopranos. Every single character in that show is fucking revolting.

That was my impression. I'm not overly keen on the lead actor, either.Ra's al Ghul wrote:Glen, you won't make it three episodes into The Sopranos. Every single character in that show is fucking revolting.

It's good. Just don't expect the Wire levels of good and you'll be satisfied. It doesn't really have an overarching story, it's just a show about some interesting people.Glen Miller wrote:I have not, I had planned to watch that after The Wire, but opted for Vikings to mix it up. Re: Chat Thread
I actually thought the same thing before I started watching it. I really thought I wouldn't get into because I hated the guy playing Tony Soprano, but after about 20mins I liked him. Although, in the latter seasons his accent is really annoying and I didn't like how many young women he was having relationships with.Glen Miller wrote:That was my impression. Re: Chat Thread
I actually liked The Sopranos but I often had to ask myself why I was still watching it. There's just about a hint of humanity in Tony that kept me hanging in there but there were times that he really tested my tolerance. And some of the secondary characters were just pure filth. Janice Soprano.
