How is a Japanese man refereeing a Brazil match?? Seriously Japan has some of the largest population of Brazilian immigrants with over 1.5 million Japanese Brazilians living in the two countries. That sounds very neutral to me.

Brazil are going to be getting these decisions all tournament. Always happens with the hosts.

Brazil got the standard calls being the home team but once I found out the ref was Japanese I was shaking my head, someone else should have been in charge.

The referees are afraid of getting murdered by angry Brazilians, obviously! That goalkeeper though, he was bloody awful, made me want to start training as a goalkeeper cos I could do better than him

Ghana? The last World Cup was in South Africa.

Can't expect him to remember that, seeing as he was only 9 at the time.

Keyser has a point. As it was the first World Cup in Africa, I saw it more as a continental host.

If the Asian referees from ex USSR nations get assigned one of Russia's matches then you can truly know that the fix is in.

I'm still at the fact that the first game of the World Cup had two major dodgy decisions to help Brazil win it.

Brazil will win the World Cup because FIFA is corrupt and if Brazil don't win it the country will actually just go to war and they'll all die

Re: World Cup 2014 discussion thread.
Exactly. And the way the South Africans got behind Ghana after their nation was knocked out, might as well have been the hosts. When it comes to playing the white man, all blacks unite and see themselves as one.Glen Miller wrote:Keyser has a point. As it was the first World Cup in Africa, I saw it more as a continental host.

Drop Dead Fred
Blatant dive. He was crying for the foul before he even hit the ground. The cheating cheater cheated.
