Best individual performance during this break so far. Ronaldo might have scored a hattrick but he played badly in the 1st half and Northern Ireland are awful. Özil was consistently excellent against a good Austria side.

Pretty hot
Can't wait for him to do this along side the Arsenal squad and our style of play. He's going to be so at ease compared to the sloppy shit of Germany.

Özil isn't on £150K. Its closer to £130K, we also have two players on £110K, £20K a week isn't really 'smashing'

Have any of you read the full article?
By free he just meant he didn't really care that it cost Arsenal £42m, he would have come if Arsenal paid nothing for him.
It was pretty irrelevant really, he was just saying he didn't care about the transfer fee.
He wasn't saying he'd play for free...
But he is on abour £135k a week so not smashing our budget.

There's probably more I just cba to find them.
You'll never find an exact or reliable source as it is undisclosed, but I think it's around £130-140k, which is hardly smashing our wage budget.
Most players of his ability are on more than that.

Either way, I doubt anyone really knows how much he's getting apart from the people who were directly involved.

140k is about 135k a week. Stop trying to back your arguement/discussion/whatever it is up with silly little points.

According to the sources posted in here, he's on £140k a week. Considering your other 2 best players are apparently on £110k/120k a week, that's at least £20,000 more than anyone else in the team.Keyser Söze wrote:Özil isn't on £150K. That's a lot.
£1,040,000 more a year, to be precise, at least.

As fans it makes no fucking difference how much players are getting paid or how much was paid for them. It's still just men on a pitch kicking a ball. Whether Ozil is earning 130k or 135k.

Agreed, I find the new-found obsession among fans regarding wages very tiresome. They don't shut up about it on RAWK.Zzonked wrote:As fans it makes no fucking difference how much players are getting paid or how much was paid for them. Edit: Yes, it's ironic that I say this after talking about Ozil's wages, but I thought it was amusing how Arsenal fans were lowballing the figure to try and make their point.

Wow.
Do you know what the word 'about' means? Look it up. It means roughly, or close to. I think being within 5k in that situation is close enough.
You really are stupid a lot of the time if you can't even see that 140 is around the 135 mark, I said 135 as I read it ages ago so knew it was around that number.
But either way, why should we be that bothered about lowering it? 140k a week, for one of the best players in the world is fuck all in this market.

You guys were obviously lowballing the figure, assuming I wouldn't question it. Keyser stated £10,000 lower than it has been quoted in reliable papers and tried to say that it was closer to £130k than £150k
The matter of fact is, according to what's been posted in this thread, Arsenal are paying Ozil over a million pounds a year more than any of his colleagues, which is quite a lot.
No-one's saying he's not worth it, but the way you guys tried to lowball the figure just amused me, that's all.

I just took a guess at the wages anyways. Even if he's on 150k he's worth it.
My problem was that praise for the "free" comment.
