Why not ? Manchester City haven't looked that convincing, Manchester United have been even worse. Liverpool seem to think they can finish in the top 4 which is a 3 place jump so why isn't realistic to think Arsenal can improve even one place on last season ?Scott M wrote:Do any of you actually think Arsenal are going to finish higher in the table than last season?

I don't know any sensible Liverpool fans who genuinely think we'll finish top 4.Keyser Söze wrote:Why not ? Manchester City haven't looked that convincing, Manchester United have been even worse. Are you saying that I am not a sensible Liverpool fan?

I thought we established that money can't buy you class/success when Arsenal beat Spurs. I definitely saw many A4 signs and tweets to this effect. Not sure why they are spending money on Ozil, this is surely a risky move.

I feel loaning Lukaku out again is a weird move. He's ready to start now imo.

It really would be poetic that we spend this much money and end up finishing outside the top 4.

United have Palace at home and then City away, they could be stuck on 7 points after 5 games. That's the midtable efficiency we expect from SPOH.

"Confirmation from Manchester United that three men who reportedly attempted to negotiate a deal to sign Athletic Bilboa midfielder Ander Herrera were not acting on behalf of the Premier League champions and were, for want of another word, imposters.
"Reports in Spain claim three men dressed in black suits and claiming to be United "representatives" spent an hour at the La Liga offices attempting to negotiate a deal. The move collapsed at the 11th hour"
What the actual fuck

£27.5million for a player that had a £23million release clause a few months ago ?

I also read they've paid £6million as a loan fee for Coentrao. If that's true

Just a joke based on the observation that only teams who aren't spending money find problems with other teams spending money.Phadunkin Donuts wrote:This must be a troll.Zzonked wrote:I thought we established that money can't buy you class/success when Arsenal beat Spurs. This has been the craziest transfer deadline day since City signed Robinho.

Yeah, some Arsenal fans are hypocrite like that. Complain that City and Chelsea spend too much but then cry out for the club to spend money and rage at why Usmanov isn't allowed on the board.Zzonked wrote:Just a joke based on the observation that only teams who aren't spending money find problems with other teams spending money.Phadunkin Donuts wrote:This must be a troll.
Personally I'd like nothing more than to be taken over by Usmanov and have the luxury of being linked with £40million players every window.

Mesut Ozil is such a treat to watch. He's the perfect example of how to nurture a modern day talent -- he has more than 300 appearances before his 25th birthday next month. Best attacking mid at Arsenal since.....? Pires?
