Only God Forgives is one pretentious film, what a waste of time.

Re: Chat Thread
I was hoping that the reviews were just critics comparing unfavourably to Drive, is it really that bad ?

Re: Chat Thread
It tries so hard to be enigmatic. Ten minutes of the film was a cop doing karaoke to a still and silent audience. Atmosphere kept it going for the first half, then the nonsensical nature of the film just dragged it down.Keyser Söze wrote:I was hoping that the reviews were just critics comparing unfavourably to Drive, is it really that bad ?
You might still like it, heard it divided critics at first. Just not my thing though.

I'll probably watch because of its connections to Drive but it doesn't sound great at the moment.

No, Glen. I am going on vacation later next week, though.

Working hard, acting pretentious
Playing some football after hours of study
When a couple of insipid cretins who were up to their knees in skulduggery,
Started making trouble in the neighborhood,
I got in one heated debate and Father got scared
He said you must stay indoors from now on, Glen.

If you like David Lynch then you'll probably enjoy OGF.

Re: Chat Thread
I just watched the highlights of all the other games that blinkblues said he watched of Jovetic. He "cuts in" from the left and "takes on" a player like three times over six matches

Re: Chat Thread
I'm saying "cutting in" in the loosest form possible. Arjen Robben cuts in a lot, but Jovetic's attempts are nowhere near Robben's dramatic cut-ins.Stranger wrote:So he was right :-o
Walter, since I am banned, ask blinkblues how often Jovetic cuts in to shoot pls.
