Re: Chat Thread
Mad dogs is back soon as well for anyone who would care. Also True Blood, but that's just my guilty pleasure.

I remember Theo recommended Mad Dogs to me a while ago. I still can't find access to a legal stream of it.

I watched True Blood back when they had that saucy Cajun in it. He was my favorite character.

It's just delightfully Southern/Primitive. Like how some people would enjoy that scripted reality tv stench. Got some hype by the way of Duck Dynasty, so going to check that out as well.

Re: Chat Thread
Fuck if it's actually worth that. Don't think I'll touch the xbox one if it's above $600.
Sadly I'm pretty sure it will be. Looks too incredible not to be.

Re: Chat Thread
Funny you post that picture, I was just thinking about which "top 4" (in number of championships won) clubs have gone the longest without winning a trophy in their respective leagues.
Top of my head I can think of:
Atlético Madrid - 17
Cruz Azul - 15
Liverpool - 23
Palmeiras - 20
I was thinking of doing a bit of sleuthing and making a thread with the results but I don't think it's something that will get a lot of footballing discussion going, just something interesting.

It's easy to make anything sound bad if you look at it the right way. Some of those things might not be a big deal or even correct, it's hard to tell when it's not out yet.
I'm going to wait until it comes out and see what people think of both consoles. Got xbox this time around because all my friends had that so I could play with them. This time around I don't really play with friends online anymore so it doesn't really matter either way.

They won't cost that.

I'm over Playstation, only reason I ever switched from Xbox 360 to PS3 years ago was for MLB The Show, because i wanted to write up a game by game career mode on a forum.
I miss Halo, I miss the xbox graphics and flow, I feel it plays better, etc etc.. if Xbox 360 stays around and keeps making their own games, I will probably go back to it. Lack of BRay hurts it for me.
But the fact that the X1 doesn't play 360 games, and the fact that basically all of the facts above on the image are true, courtesy of Xbox spokesmen and other reliable sources, it just seems like more control for them, and less for us. Never knew a gaming console could have the equivalent of bloatware.

Homage to the exploitation films of the 1960's and 70's. Lows budget films with often gratuitous amounts of sex and violence. Exploitation films come in their own subcategories as well such as Blaxploitation (exploiting Black people and their stereotypes.)or Sexploitation. (Exploiting sex)Eternal Witcher wrote:
wtf is this madness.
Some of the more commonly known exploitation films include; Super Fly, Ilsa She Wolf of the SS, Shaft, Pussy Cat! Kill! Kill! and Assault on Precinct 13.
Even though these films had their hey day in the 70's they are still made in one form or another. Such as the Fast and Furious franchise. (Carsploitation)
Japan is infamous for making a lot of popular modern day exploitation films, like the Machine Girl, Tokyo Gore Police, and RoboGeisha.
Machete and Machete Kills would fall under the Mexploitation category if these films weren't intentionally made to as homages to the prior films. I guess technically they still fall under that category though.

Glad trailers are getting more criticism for spoiling large portions of the movie. Man of steel seems to have a new trailer/tv spot every other day.

Re: Chat Thread
Iron 3's trailer made me feel like I'd already watched it when I never had.
It's a tricky thing though, obviously trailers are what gets poeple's fat butt in the cinema's seats so they have to give you somethingand that's where the problem lies, it's not easy to figure out how much is enough or how much is too much.
Cloverfield did pretty good and the trailer couldn't have been more pointless, Battle:Santa Monic er...Battle: Los Angeles I mean, was similarly vague.
I reckon things won't change much though, I think a lot people enjoy spoiler heavy trailers more than they like to admit. (Not saying you do.)

The Machine Girl was actually pretty cool from what I can remember. Need to see Tokoyo Gore Police though.
