How do you know its going to be a PS4? It could be a new PS Vita or Playstation phone?

Interdasting, they were believed to be announcing it after Microsoft, maybe they think Microsoft is going to slam them at E3.

I think people are upset that they are going to split the vram up in two (4 each), for a total of 8. Where as the xbox won't split up their 8gigs. It is the same problem that the ps3 has. The gpu is rumored to be stronger than the next xboxs though.

System Memory: 8GB
Video Memory: 2.2 GB
CPU: 4x Dual-Core AMD64 "Bulldozer", 1.6GHz
GPU: AMD R10xx (w/ Liverpool)
Ports: 4x USB 3.0, 2x Ethernet [extra for local sharing, dev. use]
Drive: Blu-Ray
HDD: 160GB [Retail may be larger]
Audio Output: HDMI & Optical, 2.0, 5.1 & 7.1 channels, headphone jack

People aren't sure that having 4 dual-cores is the right choice. I think the next xbox just has the one 8 core.

It had better be native 1080P at that, not shitty upscaled quality.

Microsoft need to do some serious convincing on their online front for me to buy the new console, considering PS4 will almost guaranteed have free online party chat I'll probably get this first.

It will be same thing over again. It has taken Sony an entire new generation of console to 'catch up' to the Xbox 360 when it comes to the price of playing online games. How that is enough to make the PS4 a 'first priority' is beyond me. Put it this way; Microsoft have tons of shit up their sleeves and will take whatever they intend to implement to the next level.

Like I said it will take a lot more than free online and the odd JRPG to convince me to buy a PS4.

I've had a 360 and PS3 for roughly about the same time, the 'exclusive' lines are stressing to blur, what does 360 have over Xbox? People used to say it was online stability, but I've never met any problems with that.

One of my main gripes with the PS3 is the controller; It might as well have been made out of paper and the triggers out of cardboard. It's that shit.

I'm the opposite. Used to be on 360 then switched and realized how massive the xBox controllers are. Joysticks are better quality on the PS3 controllers as well. I mainly play online, so the only real advantage of the 360 is the amount of players who own the console. Had a PS3 and 360 for a while, but sold the xBox to help pay for a move. Haven't missed it at all, tbh.

I never understood the "PS3 has no games" shit. Yeah, there aren't that many exclusives but they have some good ones. Uncharted, MLB The Show (important for a baseball fan, since MLB 2K is utterly awful and is the only option of Xbox), God of War, LBP, GT 5 and others I can't think of off the top of my head. Besides the only exclusive on Xbox I'd consider buying would be Halo. But again, that's just my opinion because I like the PS3 exclusives better than the Xbox ones, to each their own.

I don't really know what I meant. All I know is that the online for the Xbox 360 is better than the Asian cunt-fest that is the PSN.

I never understand what people mean by that. I've never had a problem with online on PS3 (besides that little hacking incident, but I got four free games out of that anyway). I never have any troubles playing online, the only way I could see that would be a problem is if you buy some underground game that only like a few thousand people even play.

It's personal opinion I suppose I won't argue with anyone who thinks the PS3 is a better console but I currently don't understand what the PS4 is offering to make people switch over from the Xbox 360. And should anyone understand? I mean we really don't know what going to happen with either console.

Never had an issue with either controller, had a PS2 and PS1 though so the PS3 one feels natural, I liked the xbox controller too.


These are the consoles that will take us to 2020, think about that, the main thing for me is processing power, hopefully these two machines can bridge the gap between PC and console and the dev's take advantage of that.
