If Mal was going to close the forum, I'd rather somebody took it over or somebody respectable made a knew one.
I checked the other forum and it isn't active enough, Maestro has made like 20 of the 25 threads on the first page, it'll die off. Plus, I wouldn't trust him with my IP etc.

Based on the stats the forum has been getting more visitors and more members as time goes on, plus it is within my control if I ensure there is content which attracts visitors.
i'll be the judge of whether I've wasted my money or not.
