you can talk to him in player interaction and request that he lowers his wage demands

thats what i did with paul robinson and he lowered his asking wages from €1.3m/y to €925k

only works on players nearing the ends of their contracts. you can't do it with every player

Because he's been injured all season and Cleverley has been amazing and I'm not going to drop someone that has got me this far with 8 games left in the league for someone who's done nothing all season but get injured, he'll be given a chance to cement first team next season.
