Two Europa League teams, two teams that couldn't qualify from their Champions League groups and Arsenal. Not much of an achievement to score against those sides. Should also note that his goal against City, arguably the only good side out of those five, came from a very fortunate deflection.

If I was really bothered I'd have said a little more than "they are".
We all know they weren't moaning when he was scoring against those sorts of teams last season, he certainly netted v us, Liverpool and Chelsea.

I've defended him before when people called him a big game flop, but after what happened last year against Milan and in the two recent Real Madrid games I really do think that he simply isn't capable of coping with the pressure. There's also a pretty clear inversely proportional relationship between his goals to game ratio and the quality of the Premier League which makes me question his ability at the very highest level.

On Thursday, the Star reported an "exclusive" (which was also in every other paper) that we were ready to sell Rooney. Today, their "exclusive" is we're going to give him a new contract.
The British press.

That is a smart decision, you need to keep your big-game players like Rooney in order to carry the bottlers like van Persie.

Another easy draw if we win the replay.

It wasn't the worst nor was it disgraceful. Did you watch the first half? United were vastly superior and Chelsea were lucky it was only 2-0 at that point. The second half was indeed shit.20Legend wrote:Worst performance of the season.

Even a lot of the first half was shite. Didn't keep the ball all game. Cleverley and Rooney's passing was off, and Valencia is absolutely fucking awful.
