Its just once and in 8 years, hopefully most have other things to get up in arms about by then.

4 years till France and 24 teams, see how that pans out before crying over 2020, 24 teams is a much bigger change than hosting it around Europe.

Can hope there is better transportation options in 8 years for getting around Europe and it won't be an issue.

The issue is the cost for fans. It's already costly going to support your nation for 3 group games in the same country. There's no chance that a group will be assigned to one country, and even if a group is assigned to a certain part of Europe, it's still a lot of confusion for fans. Dealing with hotels in different countries, sorting out travel.

What happens in the knockouts? Imagine a quarter final being played in Western Europe, a semi final played in Eastern Europe and then all the way back to Wembley for the final. It's ridiculous.

There will be hardly any away fans, especially so if the economy is worse in 7 years time. Not a great idea but do they ever make good ideas?

When people think about international tournaments, what do they think of?

Good football - Rarely happens, always tight, cagey matches. Probably be even worse with all the travelling
Unique atmospheres - It will just be full of neutrals with a few people travelling. Watching Euro 2020 will now be like watching Man U, just replace prawn sandwiches with local food.
Watching the home nation - This wont exist in Euro 2020, it was fun watching South Africa giving a great account of themselves with the amazing vuvuzela's. Brazil in 2016 will be great watching the 2nd most under pressure team under even more pressure and hopefully taking the unwanted tag off England.

The group stage will probably be all over Europe (London, Madrid, Paris, Amsterdam, Munich, Rome, Vienna, Bucharest, Barcelona, Prauge, etc.) and the KOs will be in a more "central" location, ie. one block of QFs in one country, another in another country, semi's and final in one country/city.

What is so unreal about what I said? Fifa gave the World Cup to Qatar, I expect crazy shit constantly now.

Games in Tokyo and semi/final match ups thousands of miles apart, yes you're being very real.
