Balotelli as Italy Captain?

Just rumors for the most part right now. But what do you guys think about it? Yes, he's still, young and immature and doesn't deserve to be captain based on that alone but do you think making him captain would be beneficial in any way?

Mostly just the ultras though who aren't exactly representative of all fans. Although, I suppose some others wouldn't be pleased.

They don't recognize Balotelli as Italian...it's not his fault he was born in Italy.

Some people do and some people don't. Regardless, he was born there, speaks the language fluently and has grown up with the culture (being raised by Italians) He's been capped already and has a future with the Azzurri so they'll have to accept it whether they want to or not.

Being Italian-American, I know enough about Italians. Yes, a lot of Italians (in Italy) hate foreigners, etc. but there's plenty that don't. And Inter is hated for more reasons than just the foreigners.

Obviously, Balotelli doesn't deserve it based on his age and immaturity but Prandelli's only considering this to take a stand against the abuse Balotelli consistently gets even when he shows no attitude and just focuses on the game.

Balotelli would make a terrible captain, with all his tantrums and unprofessionalism. Cassano is a hundred times better as a captain in my opinion.

Never going to happen. The player with the most caps gets the captaincy, that's why Rossi was captain in the last game.

So your against the English and French players with African roots playing for the countries they were born and raised in as well? Or what about other Europeans, Arabs, Middle Eastern and Asian people playing for countries they don't have roots in? Zidane? One of the greatest players to grace the pitch was French but of Algerian origins.
