It's because he accepted the blame for the defeat, you should never do that, always blame the players.

The amount of pressure that is on any manager that goes there is getting ridiculous. You either win the champions league and the league or get sacked.

No kidding. It has to be the most thankless job in football. Even Real Madrid gives their managers at least a couple full seasons before they get the knife out.

It's ridiculous, Chelsea looked stronger than they have in recent years under him, not to mention the fact that he won the Champions League.

Was never really wanted by the board or Roman, so they got this first excuse to sack him, and that was that.

I'm not sure I believe that. If they didn't really want him, they wouldn't really hire him. It's not something they'd do just for popularity, it's probably going to cost them millions to hire and fire him like this.

Bit harsh this considering they were top of the league a few weeks ago and most teams normally go through a bad run of form.

Yes. AvB also got sacked after a Champions League away game in Italy.

I think its basically what Luke said. I don't think the board wanted him at the helm in the first place, they wanted to sign as new manager and place him as assistant manager again. But the fans and pundits were all calling for RDM to be promoted after his great run of form. So I guess the board just decided, "Well if he wins us the league and the Champions league he can stay, but as soon as he has a bad run of form he's out."

Harsh sacking imo.

It's because everyone knows he is shit and not going to take Chelsea forward because what he done to get the job was 10 men behind the ball. Glad I don't have to see his face anymore.

Yeah I understand why they got rid of him. I just figured he'd get more time since he won that trophy Abramovic was a little baby over.

They've also sacked their next manager to save time.
