Yes... I've seen flares set off at away games often, ask Forest if you don't believe me, one was set off at their place a couple of years ago.

Pretty much confirms it's a rare occurence.

No. I used that example because he's the only forum member I know 100% has seen one. Seeing as 99% of this forum don't go to games often there isn't many people to back me up.

It looks good though. I don't think anyone is arguing about the difficulty of getting a flare, just saying it looks quite nice.

For Viva, away at Leeds this season, someone comments on it half way down the page.
I would find more evidence but I really can't be bothered.

We always take flares to Stamford Bridge and the others. Pointless and shit.

It isn't rare though, you probably just don't see them because security at Old Trafford is significantly better than at other stadiums. When I went there I had some guy feel every part of my body, it was uncomfortable. Whereas the 4 times I've been to Hillsbrough I was never searched.

I saw scum let off a nice little bright orange flare at Elland Road and also Shrewsbury let off a yellow smoke bomb in the concourse at half time.AndItsKoren! wrote:No. I used that example because he's the only forum member I know 100% has seen one. Did anyone ever chuck things down on the away fans? I always think it's daft when they have home fans above the away fans, just asking for them to throw stuff. I've been below home fans at Sheffield United and West Ham and both times I was half expecting to take a pelt from a missile at any second.

I used to see the odd idiot lob a bottle into the away fans if the away team had scored a late equaliser or winner but that's about it really.
Except when we play Derby. They get coins, bottles and everything really
They do the same to our fans too though. At least there's a sort of barrier at our ground to try and stop it

I turned round after the whistle went against West Ham and there was a really weird guy leaning over the edge waving loads of £20 notes about, was a real WTF moment.
Yeah Sheffield had a bit of netting above but it didn't cover everyone. It did it's job though as there were a couple of bottles and burger wrappers sat on it.
I fancied a trip to the City Ground this year but it's just too early.

Forest fans through loads of stuff at away fans. When we beat them 4-0 at their ground there was bottles and coins thrown at us from above.
The worse fans are Grimsby fans though, always looking for a fight.
