Well the good news for Celtic is that even after all of this they are still 2nd in the group. Honestly did anyone who is not a Celtic supporter think they would get anything out of this game? I think not.

Every single team goes to Barca and parks the bus.
We went, scored, and it took a last minute goal to beat us.
10 men behind the ball, and grinding out a result does not make you an elite of Europe, like the commentators seems to think.
If that was the case teams like Osasuna, Real Sociedad, Getafe and Hercules are in the elite of Europe too.
I think it mainly proved that we're not as shit as we're made out to be.

I don't think anyone genuingly think Celtic are shit. It's just people get irritated from hearing that Celtic is one of the best clubs in the world from Celtic supporters so they make they make them out to be the shittiest club in the world in retaliation.

In my time on this forum I'm yet to see a single Celtic fan claim that they're one of the best teams in the world.

When you live in a shithole like Nottingham and support a stagnant club going fucking nowherel, it's a bit weird to take so much pleasure from Barcelona beating Celtic for fucks sake.
You live in fucking Scotland
Nottingham Forest will always have double the number of European Cups than your MASSIVE club does.

According to Twitter Barca has 82% possession and Celtic only had 1 shot on target, is that true?
Never watched the game.

Yet they're a shitty wee club who will never do anything ever again. Mid table mediocrity for ever. Must be so exciting.

Look on the stats on there

Fucking hell.
Like I said, unlucky overall ... but looking at those stats, there was only one team in the game.
Guest- Guest
Damn it! I missed another goal again because I had to leave for the doctor. Deserved three points for Barca though. It should have been a more comfortable score line for Barca, but they were unlucky. Totally dominated Celtic in possession and other stats.

One of the biggest clubs in England, rich owners from the Middle East, one of the best squads in the Championship, and we play good football and don't stick 10 men behind the ball.
Give me mid table mediocrity in England's 2nd tier any day over winning a shit league year in year out against teams that are the equivalent of League 1 and 2 teams. That must be so exciting for you! Knowing you've won the league before a ball has been kicked in a season.

You're in the shadow of Derby fucking County.
SPL isn't exciting, you knob. It's the European games the we have to look forward to. Nottingham Forest will NEVER be at the level Celtic are at, in fact, they'll never be near the fucking Europa League.

Thats kind of a big say. Forest could easily become a bottom epl division side.

Forest will almost definitely be in the PL next year.

That's based on what exactly? The fact that they're seven points off the automatic promotion places? The fact that they're currently tenth in their division?

They've got the money. They will go up.
They're 2 points off the play-offs.

Of course we're one of the biggest clubs in England; only an idiot would think otherwise. We're one of only 5 English teams to win the European Cup, and one of three to win it more than once. The other two being Liverpool and Manchester United; both probably in the top 5 biggest clubs in the world. The great Brian Clough was our manager. We have aassive fan base, always take large numbers away.
Derby are most known for being the worst team in Premier League history whilst we are best known for winning back to back European Cups. We're really in their shadow
Being in Europe is nothing to boast about. You have fucking no one to stop you If Nottingham was 300 miles North we'd be in the exact same boat. There's every chance we could make the Europa League in the future. With the investment we now have, a Carling Cup run, and promotion to the PL isn't out of reach. If Celtic were based in England you'd be in the same position Forest are. A top Championship side. Nothing more, nothing less.

So you're saying the only bit of a whole season you'll enjoy are 6 Champions League group games, 4 of them against sides that don't really get the heart racing much?Totti wrote:Forest wrote:

I'm not really knowledgeable on the matter but I think that QPR were quite wealthy when they were in the Championship and it took them several seasons to finally get promoted. Leicester are also quite rich and yet they failed to get promoted last year. So there doesn't really seem to be any evidence that suggests that they will "almost definitely be in the PL next year".

I enjoy watching Celtic. It doesn't matter that the league's already won, I don't watch Celtic for the excitement of a close title race with Motherwell. The European games are the highlights of the season, not the only interesting games.
