I didn't have a bond with the animal. We kept him in the balcony the whole time and my only interaction with him was feeding him and maybe playing with him for a few minutes. Rabbits are edible animals (although I don't like their taste). It's really not as weird as it sounds. It was just as if I was a farmer and was raising a rabbit.

But I don't really think what ahly said is that weird. I've never had any pets though so maybe I'm not in the best position to judge.

I just think it's hilarious if you have enough feeling for a rabbit to have it in your home and bring it up, you don't go and eat it when it's just an individual pet.

They practice Ethnocentrism, they judge your culture solely by the values and standards of their own. Add English and American media portraying Arabs negatively since 9/11(and even before that),and well that leads to what you experience on this forum.

To be fair on them you do the same sometimes.(the Ethnocentic part)
