I find it barbaric because you groomed and raised it for however long, leading into a false sense of security and then betraying the rabbit by killing it and eating it. How is that not barbaric? You lot can't even keep a pet without being barbaric

It didn't die. We had to get rid of it, so we thought we might eat it. There is a damn line. One is a rabbit and one is a dog! People don't eat dogs (except some of those Asians). But if they eat dogs, I don't see a problem if they ate their pet either.

Difference being farmers raise animals for the purpose of eating them. If it's a pet then generally you form some sort of bond with it and start to care for it. Seems really fucked to eat something that you've had a relationship with.

Meh, I didn't have such a great bond with the animal. I guess it's just a cultural difference. We don't care about pets so much like you. Some people in the Western World teat pets as good, if not better, than their children.

Or you could have given a nice new home with a nice kid who you could trust to look after him/her. You could have given it to a pet shop for them to sell. You could have given it to your version of the RSPCA....or you know....you could have taken it with you.
