I think he's going to be a brilliant signing. Obviously if Getafe (and Spanish football) in general, weren't in such dire financial straits, we wouldn't have signed him.

If not, why did you link me this as some form of proof that your assertions regarding the extent of Brown's injury were valid? It refers to 'degenerative joint disease.' I'm not the one claiming it's a disease - it isn't.
Whoosh.
I wonder if you'll be as defiant when I'm proved right?
Just like you were about Pavlyuchenko at Parkhead (100% confirmed)? And the Lassad deal being off? And Lassad signing two contracts? And an EPL striker signing on loan? I'm quaking in my boots.

Re: Official Celtic FC Thread
LUBOS Kamenar has played in some of the most partisan arenas across Europe but nothing has ever matched what he experienced at Celtic Park.
The new Bhoy was part of the Artmedia Bratislava squad who were hammered 4-0 in Paradise in the 2005/06 Champions League qualifying round.
Despite the emphatic victory, that night remains a painful memory for all of a Celtic persuasion as the Slovakian outfit still prevailed 5-4 on aggregate thanks to their shock 5-0 win in the first leg.
What the 25-year-old witnessed in the stands that night, particularly when the crowd defiantly burst into a rendition of You´ll Never Walk Alone, always stayed with him.
And the keeper can´t wait to sample that atmosphere on a regular basis now, this time as a Celtic player.
"I remember that game was a full house," he said in an exclusive interview. "The fans were perfect and they started singing the song You´ll Never Walk Alone. I ended up only listening to the fans and it was a fantastic atmosphere.
"Celtic played very well and we lost here 4-0 but we had won in Slovakia 5-0 and we managed to go through to the next round. It was a very difficult night for Artemdia as we had to defend all the night and if the game had gone for another five minutes we would have lost another goal.
"I have been played in Inter Milan, Juventus and Galatasaray, but I think Celtic have the best fans I have ever seen in Europe. Every player would want to play for Celtic or play in a game involving Celtic because of them.
"The Celtic fans are one of the best in the world and it´s a dream for any player to play at Celtic Park."
Kamenar arrived at the club just hours before the transfer window slammed shut last Friday night on a season-long loan deal with an option to make the deal permanent.
It had been a frenetic few days for the Slovakian internationalist but he is now just delighted to be a Celtic player.
"It was a last-minute move," he said. "Because it was the last chance for me for a transfer but now that it´s done I´m very happy to be at such a big club.
"I´m very happy. Celtic are a very big club in Europe. They have very good fans. I played here seven years ago in Celtic Park and it was for me very interesting to hear these supporters. I think this will be a very good move for me. I will need to be ready to go in training and to play the matches.
"Celtic is a very good club and it´s very important for me to improve in my career as well.
"I think it´s fantastic for Celtic to play in the Champions League but even if they weren´t playing in the Champions League I would still like it here as I think they are the best club in Scotland and a big club in Europe," he added.
Kamenar will join Fraser Forster and Lukasz Zaluska in competing for the No.1 jersey, strengthening the club´s goalkeeping options. They are two players among the Celtic squad who he´s familiar with. He´s relishing getting his Hoops career underway.
"I know Fraser Forster who is a very good goalkeeper and he played last season, and I remember Lukasz Zaluska from Dundee United," he said. "I think they are both very good goalkeepers.
"For me, it´s important that I work with good players and good goalkeepers and a good coach as that will improve me as a player.
"I know the goalkeepers, Samaras who is a very good striker and Scott Brown the midfield player. I also know the two Czech players, the Twardzik twins. Celtic is a very good team.
"I will be ready for training and be ready for every match as Celtic has a lot of matches I will be ready to go – 200 per cent."
Kamenar, who signed for Nantes on a five-year contract in July 2009, began with his career with hometown club Spartak Trnava before earning a move to Artmedia Petrzalka (Bratislava).
In recent years he has spent time on loan at Sivasspor, Sparta Prague and
Spartak Trnva.
And he´s looking forward to becoming the third of his countrymen to wear the Hoops following Stan Varga and Lubo Moravcik.
"All of the people in Slovakia they are proud of Moravick and Varga and now I am following in their footsteps," he added. "There is also huge interest back home in my country about the transfer because it´s Celtic."

Sky Sports do indeed agree that there is a legal dispute. However, you have by pursuing that line of argument only succeeded in strengthening my belief that you have a remarkable knack of misinterpreting absolutely everything. There is no way that Lassad signed two contracts; he never even made personal contact with the club. The dispute is with regards to a verbal agreement with one of Lassad's agents. I hope I cleared things up for you.

Yep, from everything I've read it was just a verbal agreement on the phone with Levante, looks like they don't have a leg to stand on.

You have also misused the word 'recalcitrant.' I am not your subordinate and therefore the implications regarding subversion of authority are misplaced in this context.

You seem quite good at looking up terms in the dictionary. Try "apparently"...

Re: Official Celtic FC Thread
Celtic's new arrival Miku has claimed that he turned down moves to Premier League sides Swansea and Reading in favour of a move north of the border to challenge for silverware.
The 27-year-old made a shock move to Parkhead on transfer deadline day on loan from Getafe.
The Spaniard had been tipped for some time to make a move to the Premier League, but instead made the shock decision to join the SPL champions.
Miku said that a move to Swansea or Reading would be a sideways step, as they are likely to finish in the middle of the Premier League at best.
Instead he was drawn by the allure of challenging for multiple honours with Neil Lennon's side.
He told the Daily Record: ‘I hope to have a great year here. I like the fact Celtic are a big team who face the challenge of playing every weekend to win.
‘If you are with other teams you can sometimes lose but here there is the pressure and I like that. I like the attitude that says: If you don’t win, it’s a problem.
‘It’s a big honour - I hope to have a great year and stay longer.
‘Swansea and Reading both wanted to sign me in the summer and Getafe wanted money for me before the season started but I said I fancied moving to a big team.
‘I was the best striker at Getafe. I played every game and felt if I was to go to another team and another country, it would have to be a really big one.
‘Swansea and Reading are both good teams but for me, it would be similar to Getafe.
‘Celtic is different. It has the support, the history, the Champions League. There is more here for me. I want to win three trophies and I think we have the team to do it.’
The Venezuelan racked up an impressive 12 league goals for Getafe last season and both Michael Laudrup and Brian McDermott were keen to add him to their ranks.
Midtable EPL teams

Lenny's getting tested to see if he's a match for bone marrow transplant. Will give it to Petrov if he's a match.
Absolute legend if he does it. The procedure is agonising.

I've watched countless House episodes and if it's one thing I learnt from them it's that bone marrow transplants are fairly straightforward and rarely cause the donor any pain. Not sure how accurate that is but they mention it a million times on the show.

You get anesthetized, it shouldn't be painful.

It's not the procedure, where they drill holes in your hips, it's afterwards, someone who has had it done said it's the most painful thing they've ever experienced. But obviously nothing in comparison to what the sufferer has to go through

Know two people who've had it done. One says that it was single most painful experience of his life, and the other said only childbirth was worse.
The anaesthetic doesn't stop the pain. It just dulls it to a point.
Anyway, he's fucking brave to do it. I couldn't.

If he's donating actual marrow, he'll be under general anaesthetic, so he won't feel a thing during, just in the recovery. Most donations these days are drawn from your arm and filtered from the blood before being pumped back into the other arm.
Quality that he's doing it though. Credit to him.

Maestro, those painting/prints of yours are absolutely fucking magic.
Are you doing them as a business or a hobby? And do you just make them to order? or mass produce them?
And how much do you charge?

I make them to order, and price depends what you'd like, Before the website launches I'd like to have a few more designs for people to choose from.

Also, on topic, buzzing for Benfica.
