Don't be so sarcastic, fucking hell.

Generally when someone is on a run of bad form, you drop them or give someone else a chance to play, not saying he should be dropped completely, but give Assaidi a chance. Laughing

Or at least play him out on the right and give Borini a chance in the middle, surely it's obvious that the guy who's meant to be the natural finisher should be in the box, not the guy passing into the middle or crossing it

I'm not quite sure we wanna be playing a 4-3-3 at the moment. Suarez needs to be relied on to create rather than finish, but i think he should play just behind borini. Playing our strikers wide does them no favours.

It would have been nice to get an easy first five games to at least try to build some momentum.

Borini has been just as ineffective as Suarez, only difference is Suarez has higher standards so we notice when he plays badly, and that somehow works against him?

We know Suarez has quality, Borini hasn't proven anything, why should he keep his place over Suarez when he's done less in the last few matches?

Fair comment but Suarez could easily be on five or six in all competitions this year. Those chances aren't coming to Borini, who is the supposed finisher in the team.

I think the argument is that Borini should be used in the central role.

Liverpool were actually good, Arsenal have got a new assistant manager who specialises in defence. Gibbs and Jenkinson played very well and the Arsenal defence is a lot more solid so just because Arsenal defended well does not indicate that Liverpool played like shit.

Should give credit where credit's due

We did seem to run out of ideas. I was disappointed with the lack of long range efforts. There were times when someone got the ball in a decent area outside the box and just passed it away. Sahin did it on one occasion, and Sterling.

I thought Arsenal defended pretty capably, but we aren't exactly prolific at the best of times, and both goals were ultimately from our mistakes (less so from podolski's).

We don't seem to have the players to bag goals from 25 yards. Only Shelvey is really open to shooting from range, even Gerrard doesn't do it much these days.

What I was more dissapointed with is that every time we tried an incisive pass in the final third, the misplaced pass, or the overrun ball, or the poor touch let us down. It's all very well keeping hold of the ball under pressure by our goalline but it doesn't help where it matters

Brendan Rodgers asked would he have let Carroll go if he knew Liverpool would not sign anyone: "No." Was he confident he would: "Very."

In fairness he's being played on the wing, he's not quick and he's not particularly skilful. He needs to be up front.

Apparently Rogers said he only let Carroll go because he thought he would get another forward in, and there is an option to recall Carroll in Jan.

I don't want to recall Carroll. I think it's time we just sold him to be honest. I'd take £10 million for him, and just buy a striker who can score. Carroll's not for us.

I don't see why so many people think we should recall him. Yeh he's a good player, but he doesn't fit in our style of play! I forgot which one, but there was a match this season where Rodgers brought him on late, and we suddenly started hoofing it up.

You guys had some quality chances.. and got behind our defenders with ease a few times.

International break will be nice.. hopefully can understand the manager's system better.

Suarez has been poor all three games so far. Of course we support him, but I'd rather someone else played when Suarez is in this wasteful form.

All summer long to sign a striker. We're fine everybody tells me, they mocked me even when I wasn't logged on.

We're in big trouble here, boys.

Well we've got what we've got. Its not like he was missing easy chances left and right, and losing possession like he did today was more often than not down to a lack of understanding between players, it was not all down to him. And besides that who else should we play? I get that you might want to have him in a central role but at the very least he deserves to play on either wing rather than be dropped.

Not saying we didn't need a striker because of it, getting a striker just wasn't a massive priority until we got rid of Carroll.

He should play on the wing. But looking at his form and effort, it might be best giving him a rest, putting him on the bench against Sunderland and seeing what Assaidi has to offer.

Yea maybe you're right about that. Assaidi is an unknown quantity and might get some joy because of that. I would like to see Borini play through the center as well, see what he could do there. I do think Brendan knows what hes doing though, so i'll trust his judgement as long as Gerrard doesn't start.
