CLYDESDALE BANK SCOTTISH PREMIER LEAGUE
Venue: Celtic Park
Date: Saturday, 4 August
Kick-off: 12:45 BST
Celtic captain Scott Brown and winger James Forrest are both injury doubts for the champions' opening Scottish Premier League match with Aberdeen.
Defender Charlie Mulgrew is suspended after picking up a red card in a pre-season friendly with Ajax.
Gary Naysmith is ready for his Aberdeen debut, the experienced left-back having recently agreed a short-term contract.
New signings Niall McGinn and Johnny Hayes are also in line to play their first competitive match for the Dons.
Celtic manager Neil Lennon: "We have had them watched and by all accounts they have been very impressive pre-season.
"I think Craig Brown has stabilised the club, he brought in Jonny Hayes and Niall McGinn to make them better and they have a good core of experience there as well.
"I expect them to give us a really good game to start with but I think they will be in for a very good season."
Aberdeen manager Craig Brown: "I'm happy to start with Celtic away. When I was with Scotland and involved in the scheduling of fixtures I always wanted to play the bigger nations away from home first.
"If you go and get something, it's a great way to start the campaign and if you don't then you still have a home game against them to come.
"I am not going to say we are going to do this and we are going to do that this season. I have always felt the right way is to be modest about it.
"We will set our sights on winning every game and see where it takes us."
