maybe your wingers just suck? lol. 4-3-1-2 dominates the middle. maybe your CM's and AM's are just better at what they do

how do you play him? MC, AM, or LW? holtby's only average for me. but then again, he is competing with the likes of douglas costa, marko marin, dzagoev, wilshere, and aaron ramsey lol
Laurencio wrote:Scheletto The Football Manager Chat Thread! - Page 2 914411

Had him for Roma, fantastic player.

i had schelotto in FM11 for siena. fantastic wingback. i rejected a €40m bid for him from man city after having schelotto for only a season! i called him up for italian natonal team in FM12 and i just signed him again for schalke. probably the best right wingback i've ever used in the FM series. he performs better than his CA/PA suggests of him

i signed schelotto as backup to kyle walker, but he's keeping kyle on the bench!

however, during important matches vs bayern, chelsea, etc, i've used kyle walker as right wingback and schelotto as defensive right winger and he's been class there as well

Pretty much the same for me. I signed him as backup for Cresczenci on a free, but ended up playing him a little further up the field, or as a first choice wingback. That right side was ALMOST as dominant as when I used to have Bordoni (I miss him Sad),. Schelotto reinforced the defensive third, while at the same time cutting inside and scoring goals from wide. Got a decent chunk of assists too. His tackling stat looks pretty poor, but he doesn't seem to play like it is.

i think it's his strength. he's very strong for a wide player. at first glance his tackling and work rate make him look like an unreliable wingback but his performances suggest otherwise

the 3 englishmen i signed are really flopping at it (kyle walker-€5m, aaron ramsey-loan, jack wilshere-loan). everyone else i signed is flourishing at the club. walker's getting outperformed by schelotto and arne friedrich. ramsey/wilshere are being outperformed by sandro/dzagoev/holtby/marin/costa

i don't distinguish between nationalities unless if they're african (no racist). i jsut don't like how i have to cope without them during ACON

i wouldn't mind englishmen if they weren't so overpriced. but kyle walker was transfer listed, and ramsey/wilshere were on the market for loans. i'm hoping loaning them will lower their sale value (it's working so far)

I don't think I have ever seen an English player do well in a foreign league. Stick with Wilshere though he's an excellent talent unlike Ramsey.

wilshere was out for 8 months. his physical stats are shit. but i'm planning to buy both (ramsey has a PA of 200 shifty). i'm monitoring their sale values on genie scout and they've been decreasing since i've taken a loan on them. if i can get both for €15m each, it'd be the sale of the century

nice. looks like were gonna have the same future XI. im seriously looking into willian but i couldnt afford him after he signed a new contract with shakhtar. i already have costa. i play him RW as in inside fwd. i have marin on LW and holtby/dzagoev playing as a CM. i could play holtby as an AM but i prefer playing 4-5-1 with a DM and so i can keep a clean sheet

Laughing I'm trying to use the Mourinho 4-3-3 system with my current save.

    Cech

    Danilo--Terry--Luiz--Cole

    Meireles/Oscar--Essien--Lampard

    Hazard--Torres--Hulk

    The line up is:

    GK

    FB--LD--CB--FB

    A

    BWM--CM

    IF--TM--IF

Pretty tight in the midfield, Luiz is mainly played just because of the pace he has compared to Cahill. Essien is a monster as an anchor man also Torres plays well as a target man. Only signings were Hulk €38m and Danilo €30 million.

I suck at FM, I was really good in one save with Swansea for some reason but normally I just suck. I play FM on a netbook so that kinda sucks.

i really want to manage a relegation-threatened team and see how my defensive tactics fare out. maybe after blackburn tho. i already have my mind set on managing in the championship next now that theyve changed the 5 subs/game rule

I really can't get into an FM game at the moment. My tactics never seem to work and I just lose all the time. My players also seem to be tired a lot of the time.

I've finally started to get into a save with Everton this time. I've played 6 Europa League qualifiers so far and one friendly. Jelavic has played in 5 of the 6 games and scored in all of them. He has 10 goals in the 5 games he has played.

but i don't have enough time to play anymore lol. i've been working full time since 2010. i can only play 2-3 teams per FM release

i remember in FM10 i managed a bigillian teams. FM11 i only managed roma, siena, and everton. and FM12 so far i've only managed roma and schalke (with a short stint as russian national team)

for FM13 i plan to do blackburn then pescara, and maybe some as roma on the side. so unless something drastic happens (like me getting fired from my full time job), i probably won't get to play as TSV munich until FM14 lol

lost my first match after 73 matches in charge of schalke

The Football Manager Chat Thread! - Page 2 SportingCPvSchalkeInformation_Overview

so now my overall record with schalke stands at 65-6-1. 72 matches unbeaten

i blame the english Razz. i decided to give ramsey/wilshere/walker/fabio a run out because on-paper they're supposed to be better than my usual starters (dzagoev/holtby/schelotto/escudero). instead, the EPL gang flopped and cost me the first loss of my schalke career

my midfield was okay i guess. i created more chances than the opposition. so as for ramsey and wilshere i'm still willing to give another chance. walker maybe since he got the assist. but as for fabio, he will never be seen in a schalke shirt again
