Re: Liga MX: Apertura 2012
We both won. It's alright they'll come back down to earth saturday, like it did after they beat leon.
But seriously, this should be a better game now with both teams coming off a win.
Jiminez gets red carded and Chucho scores the winner . Third place now, btw is this the tournament that decides who goes to the libertadores/CL or is it the next one?

Re: Liga MX: Apertura 2012
Yeap. I wasn't impressed tbh.
San Luis probably would have gone up if it weren't for that awful call. I know it didn't happen but we have seen that story before. Also the team seems to have no discipline. So many fouls a red card every other game. It's holding the team back...
Chivas is going to destory us.
I do think this is the tournament for Libertadores since the last one was for the CCL.

Re: Liga MX: Apertura 2012
Herrera is a moron. I mean layun is really your super sub? He's a waste of space.
Chivas took advantage of their chances and made them, but that second goal was unlucky for us. Shitty performance. Chucho played well, Rosinei had a nice first half, Medina did well with his nice goal. Other than that everyone else was average or below average.

Re: Liga MX: Apertura 2012
In my opinion, the 3 players you mention had pretty poor games.
Chucho was bullied by Reynoso(and Perales) although that's not really his fault entirely, because of lack of service he was forced to come down to retrieve the ball and run at defenders. Which is not an easy task when you have 200lbs of angry Chilango (Reynoso) barring down on you, not to mention you remove him from where he is most dangerous, in the box.
Rosinei had a good 20 minutes or so, and Medina scored the great goal but besides those moments they were dominated by Chaton ( and Pato) they still had the ball for a good of the match but they couldn't do much with it, they couldn't advance because Chivas midfield would snap the ball right up, this kept them from getting too involved in the play and were forced to pass it out and look to Sambueza and Rolfi.
Sambueza and Rolfi didn't actually have bad games, in fact if they had good games the result would of probably been different but they were simply average.
I agree with you on the Layun part, though. Piojo pretty much shot himself in the foot with that move. I can see why he would make it (wanted to help a struggling midfield) but it back fired, Chucho became even more isolated and Chivas soon after went up in the score line and that was all she wrote.
You'll notice that he realized his mistake and later brought it another striker. That was one of the most bizarre moves of the seasons. Takes a striker out, sends in a midfielder, later takes a midfielder out and sends in a striker.
In reality a few tweeks and this match could have gone easily the other way. Piojo just really fucked up in his selections before the match (even though he broke someone's leg, Molina should of started ahead of Rosinei, would of offered more cover and Lugo might never had gotten the ball for those longshots had he played. ) and tactical errors during the match. (the bizarre subs, and not instructing the team to take more long efforts)
So yeah, I think Piojo probably 'cost you this one.
Winning 3-1 looks like we stemmed rolled you, but it was our solid defending that gave us this win and like a bitter Piojo said, "huevos" but a couple of seasons from now none of that will matter, just the 3-1 score line.
By the way, that's two matches in a row where Diego Reyes is involved in an unfortunate deflection that leads to a goal. His confidence most of plummeted after that. It's rough.
Knowing Chivas, we'll probably lose next week.

Re: Liga MX: Apertura 2012
Yeah i agree with most of that. Idk why Molina didn't start, i was hoping he'd come on for Zuniga to clog up the middle. Just a dumb team selection and subs. Piojo has done this a few times already picking bad teams and subs and it has cost us points. But we can't drop anymore points if we want to lock up that 3rd seed.

Really good game vs Tijuana. Ended 2-2, but we were close to getting a third near the end.
Ludueña
Should get a shot in the National team. No need in calling Zinha anymore.

Ludueña is good but I think he's like Sinha where he's probably too old for international football now.

Re: Liga MX: Apertura 2012
He turned 30 this year, and S/Zinha is 36. It would be best to just start playing Fabian, but if he insist in calling Sinha, it would be best if Ludueña had that spot.

Re: Liga MX: Apertura 2012
Nah, Sinha was only called up because he's been great with Toluca and because Giovani and Marco were both out with injuries. Probably won't call him up when everyone else is healthy. I miss an inform Hobbit, he could have been so good...
Also, Talavera is third choice keeper, Orozco rarely gets called up. Orozco played last night. Aaaaaaaawkward.

More embarrassing than funny to be honest. Especially considering a couple of the 1st division sides have players that probably earn more than some of those 2nd division sides entire team makes.

It was on at a really odd time.
I think it's because Mexico's time changed and ours hasn't yet right?

Yeah, I think you're right.
I don't like this rule that takes away the top four teams adavantage. Now it's all equal. So it doesn't matter if you were #1 or #8 at all.

What a coincidence, Mosquera comes back and a Morelia scores in the first minute.

Mosquera, and Reynoso need to get sold by America and Chivas. Hugo Ayala to America, and Mier to ChivasDemoz wrote:Frustazul continues

Re: Liga MX: Apertura 2012
Reynoso gets a bad rap. He's solid.
Usually.
In my opinion Chivas' defensive problems are a result of poor concentration and disorganization. 6 of our 19 goals conceded either happened in the first or last 10 minutes of a match. That's a lot.
It's kinda ironic. Marquez Lugo drastically helped Chivas goalscoring woes of last season only to have a lot of defensive lapses this season.
Overall though 19 goals concede is not bad at all. In 2011 we were the third best defense in the leauge and we conceded 20.
It's just when we do conceded a lot them are of the kick in the mouth variety.

Some great semi finals matches this season.
Toluca and Xolos. Deserved finalist.
I hope Xolos win, if only because I don't want anyone to catch up to Chiva's 11 titles. I like being lonely at the top.

The only team that can catch up to Chivas is America. The majority of Chivas' and America's championships were won in year long seasons. 7 of the 10 titles 10 titles Toluca has won have been in these half seasons.
Also I replied to the comment you made about the possibility of Reyna joining Chivas in the Chat thread. Just in case you didn't see it

Re: Liga MX: Apertura 2012
Yeah, I saw it. I think Reyna is a great player, but the baggage he brings with him is not worth the hassle to me. Especially for a club like Chivas who was often portrayed as the "Good guys" in Mexican soccer. You know that saying, "El segundo equipo de todos es Chivas" that was prominent a decade or two ago. That image has deteriorated significantly with Jorge Vergara's protagonism.
Now when I think of good guy teams with, good quiet owners, and well behaved supporters (Ironic because they are called la perra brava.) I think of Toluca. Pachuca was this before the era of Fassi and Martinez protaganism too.
We were the Anti-America, but now the only thing we have going for us is the youth promotion thing and the relatively well behaved fan base.
By the way, how do you feel about your recent acquisitions?(and loses)
I can't help but feel you got the short end of the stick on this one. Maruo Cejas can be good I think, Nestor Calderon is dead weight for your club though. I mean, you have Candido now, not sure why you'd get Nestor. I think ti was just an extra trading chip. Which kinda sucks for the guy if I'm honest. Hopefully you loan him out to like Puebla or Quereataro or someone where he could play more regularly.
You probably got a nice monetary compensation though.
