Hulk isn't a signing I'd make though, if he does go to Chelsea.

Er...so they get paid what they are worth. Paul Scholes is a player who has never had an agent, and a player who has never been paid in accordance with his talent.

and i bet he is very happy, playing in his dream club for all these years winning more trophies then many many players and is comfortable in terms of finance
world of football could do with more players like scholes

£6m, that's ludicrous. More than Saints' record transfer fee.

Perhaps he is, but not everyone is happy to be paid less than they are worth. If players didn't have agents then wealthy club owners and executives would get more money at the expense of the people who actually deserve it - the players.

and the agents... 6 MILLION POUNDS!.. for what? just for getting few thousand more for the player? club is already paying £32m to the selling club, £150-170k a week to the player.. its ridiculous

A few thousand? What planet do you live on? His agent obviously earns him millions of pounds a year, why the fuck would he get £6m otherwise?

Doesn't matter really, does it? The money's still coming out of a deal between Chelsea, Lille and Hazard, it's part of the negotiation.

Can see him costing a lot more than he's worth and I don't really rate him.

my little naive boy vivarooney
agents at the top top level dont just sort club contracts my friend. they control housing and property interest, business interests, well-being, individual medical issues, law, marketing and promotion and many other things for the player. it is a slave job but pays very well

Agents are usually a vital part of a player's support staff. Hazard's agent's demands are a tad excessive though.

yeah thats all great(and irrelevant).. so he does all that for the player then the player should pay from his own wages/incomemauro=beast wrote:my little naive boy vivarooney

why is the club paying for the agent... thats right so the player will go to that club. its corrupt
i said the agent gets £6m for nothing.. and thats true, whats promotion, marketing and stuff got to do with the transfer. you think i dont know what agents do? lol

Essentially it is from the player though, isn't it? Chelsea are paying £6m to the agent because they want Eden Hazard to play for them, it's a little counter-intuitive but it's not difficult to understand. What's really unfair in all this is that Chelsea have to pay €40m to Lille OSC when Hazard wants to play for them and they want Hazard.

I do know how the system works you cockroach, don't insult me. My argument is that the system is unfair, and in breach of Hazard's human rights that he can't work for the organisation he wants to unless his current organisation decides to let him, and that his current organisation can hold him to ransom. It's a lot like slavery.

Slavery , come on RR , you are stretching semantics at the moment . His contract is a legal document, which he himself signed

It's not as though he had a choice, is it? Any club he signed for would demand he sign a long contract.

No it's not, it's business. Pay good money, get good product (Hazard), win. You're just bitter because other teams have caught up with you and maybe even surpassed you with financial power, you're just used to getting what you want all the time and now that's not happening you can't hack it.ViVaRooney wrote:yeah thats all great(and irrelevant).. so he does all that for the player then the player should pay from his own wages/incomemauro=beast wrote:my little naive boy vivarooney

ok then why didnt he sign for chelsea as soon as he started playing football??
oh thats right cause he needed somewhere to show his class, and the team that allowed him to do that does not deserve any compensation? LOL transfer fees are the least unfair thing in football. if a player doesnt wanna play for the club then he can wait till his contracts up or another teams offers a fair sum.

Compensation? He played football for them for years to the best of his ability for a fair wage, he should be allowed to leave whenever he likes. Can you imagine if we applied this bizarre standard to other industries?
Bob works in the Fox and Grapes as a barman earning £5.70 an hour and working 10PM to 4AM in shit conditions, the owner of the Black Bull is impressed with him and offers him £7.50 an hour to work the daytime shift, but because Bob's doing an excellent job and has a long contract, the Fox and Grapes owner demands £4m for his services. The Black Bull owner thinks this is unfair, so he doesn't pay it, and Bob is stuck at the Fox and Grapes under a maniacal boss, not allowed to pull pints at any other pub until his contract expires or someone offers his boss £4m for him.
Does that seem fair to you?
Guest- Guest
in that scenario sure its not fair cause that effects ONE guy, if he leaves someone else can come in and do the same thing
but something like football its totally different. it effects the club selling alot more ways then just losing one player. not to mention this asset that leaves can play against you.. so i still think its fair that if you have a contract with a club you cant leave unless the club lets you. again after the first contract signing dont extend the contract if you feel like you want to have freedom about where you go. signing an extension then 6 months later wanting to leave is your fault and yours only
nowadays players can leave whenever they want pretty much anyway. and please dont you dare say slavery again, i cant even begin to explain how retarded that comment is. ronaldo said something similar and was rightly ridiculed

That is fair actually. He has a contract he should do his job without complaining till his contract is up. He agree to it so he should stick with it.
