Roy said he's not played enough, even though he's played 38 times this season, the most since 09-10. Not bad for a 33 year old with apparently a huge back problem.
Hes played 38 times this season for United, The most since 07 - 08 where he played 51 Times. 09 - 10 was the season rio played his least amount of games for united only managing 21.
But the squad Roy has picked is crap, Wouldn't be surprised if England fail to get out the of the group.
Players like Carrick, Lennon, Richards, Holt, Owen, Agbonlahor, Sturridge, Crouch, Zamora should be going
ahead of Downing, Milner, Henderson, G.Johnson, Kelly, Carroll

Well he did last time didn't he, with that fucking press conference. I was surprised Capello didn't end him after that.
I was too. Surely that would have been the moment where Don Fabio showed exactly why he's called Don Fabio. Considering nothing really happened with it I think Capello handled it behind the scenes though, not sure if Hodgson can do the same.

@OptaJoe: 14 - Jordan Henderson was the only player to play a part in all 14 of Liverpool's league victories in 2011/12. Impact.
All 14 of them.
All 14 of them.

Agbonlahor only scored one more goal than Carroll this season. Hasn't scored a league goal since November.SuperManUtd wrote:Jordi wrote:

My brain hurts.
If you apply some logic to it, it's quite simple...
Man City - Hart, Lescott, Milner in squad. Barry injured. Richards refused to be on standby, Johnson left out.
Man Utd - Jones, Rooney, Young, Welbeck in squad. Ferdinand left out because Terry is an apparent racist, Carrick refused to be on standby, Scholes retired.
Arsenal - Walcott, Chamberlain in squad. Lack of English talent.
Chelsea - Terry, Cole in squad. Cahill, Lampard injured.
Tottenham - Parker, Defoe in squad. Walker injured. Huddlestone, Lennon no better than players already picked.
Newcastle - Danny Guthrie and James Perch? LOL
Everton - LOL
Liverpool - Gerrard, Carroll, Downing, Johnson in original squad. Henderson and Kelly called up because they are fit and didn't refuse to be on standby.

Re: Euro 2012 Squads
You say Micah Richards refusing to be on the standby list is why he's not there, but I'm pretty sure Martin Kelly wasn't on the list either.

Yes he was.
Liverpool full-back Kelly, 22, who made his international debut as a substitute against Norway last weekend, was on the stand-by list. The call-up is subject to Uefa approval.

They're not there to score goals; they're there to prevent them. If they get an odd one here or there, that's nice. But it's far more important that they be more adept at preventing them than scoring them. Goal scoring stats for centerbacks don't tell us much about how well he's doing his primary job.
Heh, splashy taking the piss.

But Kelly didn't refuse to be on it, so he will always get called up before Richards.

Ivica Olic is out of Euro 2012 with a thigh injury and Giovanni Trapattoni has named the team that will start the opening game against Croatia; Given, O'Shea, Dunne, St Ledger, Ward, Duff, Andrews, Whelan, McGeady, Keane, Doyle.

Lloris/Debuchy Mexes Rami Evra/Cabaye Diarra Malouda/Nasri Benzema Ribery.

8pm on ESPN apparently. I'm guessing it's more of a 4-2-3-1? And it's Alou Diarra isn't it?
