Who finished higher this season? Who was in the Premier League last?

Good match tonight, far better than the 180mins of shit in the Sheffield-Stevenage semi-final.
He's okay, I've only seen him once but he's a target man type striker, holds the ball up well.Lux wrote:Lots of rumours of Joe Garner to Leeds, and James Collins (Shrewsbury) coming to Watford.
Anyone from League 2 able to rate him?
I reckon they can turn them over, the large pitch at Wembley will suit Ince and Phillips.Jelavić7|EFC wrote:CoVkId01 wrote:Went for Blackpool, Huddersfield and Southend to go up, first two have got to the final.

Blackpool will not beat West Ham, unfortunately.

While those facts are indeed true, nobody could really say Burnley was a step forward from Leeds at this moment in time. Sideways perhaps but I still believe its backwards. Unless we are talking in financial terms of course...
Ollie can do it. He thrives on being the under dogs.Jordi wrote:I reckon they can turn them over, the large pitch at Wembley will suit Ince and Phillips.Jelavić7|EFC wrote:

Michael Owen is 4/1 to join Brighton, and 8/1 to sign for us.

Well he sounds a bit like Troy Deeney then..but he is young and scores goals so I wouldn't mind taking him on....he will be cheap as it's on a tribunal so not much to lose.Uncle John from Jamaica wrote:

I agree, Leeds have the bigger stadium, more fans bla bla...but in terms of teams it is a sideways move...so not really something Clayton would want to consider.
Financially Leeds are surely better off. I think too many Leeds fans moan about finances when it's stable.
Uncle John from Jamaica wrote:Yeah we were one of few clubs to make profit last year. I was talking in terms of his own finances though I.e wages. That was the reason we didn't give him a new contract.

Reds' new manager Sean O'Driscoll has set his sights on developing the club further, while continuing the success of recent seasons. The former Bournemouth and Doncaster boss was appointed yesterday, and
says the club's honesty was a huge factor in him becoming the new manager.
Speaking at a media conference at the Broadfield Stadium today, Sean said: "All the questions I asked were answered honestly. If people are honest you appreciate that more and everyone was. They know exactly where they are, exactly what they have achieved and exactly what they want to achieve. (Chief Executive) Alan (Williams) will tell you I like to do due diligence. I ended up writing reports and what have you. It takes me a while to do a lot of things but you go with your gut instinct. I think I can take Crawley to the next level of development."
Sean, who brings with him a wealth of experience, believes his time with Doncaster will stand him in good stead. And he also sees comparisons between ourselves and League 1 play-off semi-finalists Stevenage, who also achieved back-to-back promotions and then contested the League 1 play-offs.
"In football you wait for opportunities and they bypass you. This seems to be a good fit," he added. "I did a similar job at Doncaster, and this is another club that wants to move in the right direction. There's a good set of people behind the scenes that work really hard. The benchmark is a team like Stevenage, a club that is on the next step which is something we can have a look at. They managed to get into the play-offs in League 1 with a good set of players who have work hard together. This is one of the reasons that Crawley have been successful and hopefully we can keep that and add to it."
Happy to see Woodards and Paterson offered new deals. Hopefully they sign. Paterson was playing Europa League football last season before signing with us.Harrold wrote:http://www.bristolrovers.co.uk/page/LatestNews/0,,10328~2775732,00.html
