See you then , i can add your ground to my list. It should be a decent league next season again.easley91 wrote:I shall start planning my trip to Bury next Saturday evening.ShakerMatty wrote:See any of you cunts who join us in League 1 next season.
I would bet on Crewe winning League 2 play-offs. I think the other League 2 lads here will agree with me that they have been one of the best sides recently. Not sure on Championship or League 1. Blackpool or Birmingham for Championship. And League 1 I don't really want to go to Huddersfield out of those in the positions, so Huddersfield.

It should be, looks as though quite a few of us in this thread will be League 1 next season. From Coventry to possibly Crawley and still maybe Cheltenham. This thread could be fun come August.ShakerMatty wrote:See you then , i can add your ground to my list. Must admit, I'm going to have to keep some money aside or have an 'away' jar or something, because there are quite a few trips I want to make!

If we do get promoted Deepdale is indeed on the list, as is Portsmouth, Coventry, Bury, Sheffield (if one stays down), Swindon.

Even if no Cov fans will be there, I'd still like to visit it anyway. One of the many places I never thought I'd get to see Crawley play.

There's one or two Portsmouth fans on here too.
I'm definitely going to aim to make all away games next season if i can.
Best away games this season for me were Scunthorpe, Preston, Oldham and Notts County.

I was hoping the same
I want to go to Crawley & Swindon next season more than most of the clubs currently in L1
Doncaster, Pompey, Sheffield (if one doesn't go up), Swindon, Crawley, Walsall, Notts County, maybe Preston & Bury too

Pompey should be a decent trip, I'd recommend Sheffield United as well as apart from the result it was a decent day out. Quite looking forward to Swindon but not so much Coventry as i fear it will be a soulless ground.
Your rivalry for next year is Walsall!

I hope Chelmsford City and Braintree Town get into the Football League in the next few seasons, then there will be 5 Essex teams in the Football League, instead of just 3.

From looking at the playoffs in League 2 i'd be happy with any of them 4 teams coming up.

I know it's unlikely that we will go up, but if we do I'd love to go the likes of Portsmouth and Coventry. Coventry is only an hours drive from Cheltenham so it would be good to get a rivalry started , and despite our shocking away support we should take over 1000 fans to them.
Realistically though I expect i'll be going to Fleetwood and Morecambe next season though. At least there will be lots of terraces

But you'll get to have a picture near the Jimmy Hill statue, well worth the trip
Never been to Walsall even though I drive past it for a lot of away & Liverpool matches. Notts county is just under over an hour away, definitely going to that just to abuse Lee Hughes
Wouldn't mind that local Cheltenham match too then, at least I've got somebody to support in the L2 play-offs now

Apparently our 'derby' if we get promoted next season will be Brentford. They are 25.88miles away from me.

Still got one Championship away fixture I could get to, might get some tickets tomorrow if they haven't sold out. £14 to watch Cov get raped sounds too good to refuse

Tickets for the last game of the season at Accrington go on sale tomorrow (my birthday) so will be getting myself one and a coach ticket and heading up north, hopefully celebrating after securing promotion vs Hereford.
Only thing I can't decide on, is whether to go as a Ghostbuster or not.

I have been to Walsall this season it was a decent trip, result and atmosphere as for Notts County yesterday proved how much of a dick Lee Hughes is and we just took the piss out of him.
Our derby will be the biffos (Oldham) for next season. It should be decent next week and i'm preparing for trouble as we will be right next to them.

Maybe before the next season starts we should rename it the League 1 thread.

You can be a League 1 fan for a year, then when we get promoted again you can go back to Championship.

Use this software called The Hat, and pick a team.Lux wrote:easley91 wrote:You can be a League 1 fan for a year, then when we get promoted again you can go back to Championship.

And Forest, I would've only liked you to get relegated just so I could watch Crawley play there. Nothing against the club or its fans, but just seeing Crawley potentially playing at these grounds against these famous clubs is amazing.
My birthday week this week, and it could be topped off with promotion.
