Well I think that we've had a great season when you consider that many thought we'd be relegated...but I wouldn't say 10/10. First half of the season was 6/10.....second half 9/10 I predicted that we'd finish 12th at the start of the season...so finishing 11th is pretty good . Selling Graham, Buckley and Cowie leaving at the start, plus Sordell being sold in January.....and STILL getting more points than last season sums up how well we did.
I would like us to get Kuszczak permanently......but if that doesn't happen then I hope that Loach can do a job. He made so many howlers this season that David James looked solid...but his shot stopping is good so he has potential :/.
Troy Deeney 20 goals next season for sure....and Murray 15
IT was a game that summed up Watford's season, according to the club's manager Sean Dyche.
"Players get you the sack, they say. I don't agree with that. I love my players, I really do," he told watfordfc.com after full-time.
"The reason is because I felt they showed all the characteristics during that game today, which have held us in such good stead across this year.
"Winning today was a great achievement, but the overall picture of an 11th-placed finish and 64 points is an achievement which makes me very, very proud indeed of this group of players."
Never usually given to superlative or hyperbole, Dyche was in understandably ebullient mood about his team.
"This match characterized the season, in my opinion. Our mentality has been exceptional.
"We can't fight with big-money signings but what we said we'd do was mould together a squad of developing players and young lads coming in looking to impress.
"I'm proud of the will, the demand, the honesty from this group. There's no way results can be guaranteed but we've gone towards winning every match and I think that approach has paid off."
Dyche's admiration for his players was palpable - and why not, quite frankly?
"We've proved ourselves a team to be reckoned with. There's still more to come from us but the players can be very proud of what they've achieved.
"And our fans can be proud, too. They've stuck with us through some sticky patches and it was great to see them enjoying themselves today."
