Nani ran into him in stoppage time at Wembley and scored the winner.El_indian wrote:ViVaRooney wrote:you mean the one against us? come on now.. you telling me that wasnt a red card?? he went in two footed, just cause he got the ball doesnt mean it wasnt a dangerous tackle, if he doesnt get the ball its a leg breaker. also going in like that is gonna stop nani from being able to challenge for the ball since if he does he is gonna get a broken leg
Wrong, Nani jumped.
That's how you dominate an attacker, Nani will think twice about running into that beast again. It's partly psychological, it's the art of defending..
What could Kompany have done differently in that situation with a 50/50 chance at the ball and Nani running towards it?

Very good decision by the FA, I'm glad they have used common sense in their understanding that grabbing a player and pushing him back is unacceptable and cheating. I find it staggering that people are defending Derry's cheating antics of grabbing a player back, and criticising Young for pointing out this offence to the referee.
This kind of behaviour has been happening in the penalty boxes far too often, and has been deemed acceptable as "strong defending". Hopefully now the FA have realised their mistake and will continue to crack down on players who grab opponents in the penalty area. Skrtel, Agger and Carragher are the main culprits in this case. They are alwawys grabbing, pusing and pulling opponents unfairly. We must hope that they soon recieve their just punishments

yeeeeeeah but the thing you got wrong was the rules of the game LMAO which means no one can trust your views on anything regarding fouls or topics similar to it.

I asked you a question about factual evidence of excessive force in the Kompany tackle and you ignored it...It seems to be you do not know how the rules are applied.
I understand the rules. I admit I wasn't aware the book mentioned 2 footed challenges, but it turns it was about any tackle (1 or 2 feet) which use excessive force...my understanding has not changed.
So, it is in fact you who cannot be trusted on such matters. I think the forum already knew this however going by your judgement of the Ashley Young incident and also by the fact you were judged the forum twat.

if you dont think kompany's tackle was no excessive force then you are retarded, simple as. all of the bold parts here describes kompany's tackle:
Examples include a dangerous slide tackle from behind, or an "over the top tackle" in which a player raises his foot so the cleats could hit a player, or a two footed tackle that takes down the opponent. FIFA has broadened this definition by saying that "Any player who lunges at an opponent in challenging for the ball from the front, from the side or from behind using one or both legs, with excessive force and endangering the safety of an opponent is guilty of serious foul play. For current rules visit fifa.com, Laws of the Game. The above quote is from Questions and Answers, Additional Instructions for Referees). The rules now include "Decision 4", which says: "A tackle, which endangers the safety of an opponent, must be sanctioned as serious foul play".
if you dont see that then you are hopeless and mentally challenged. sriously you have been made to look a fool over and over here and yet you keep trying to rectify it and try to find technicalities lol its getting sad

I am not mentally challenged, I just don't see it as an excessive tackle.
look at it form these angles:
I don't think there would have been too much harm had there been contact.

if you dont think that tackle endangered the safety of nani then... i just... this forum is full of retards
if nani doesnt jump out the way he is getting a serious injury or broken leg. his both feet are off the ground, his studs are showing and he has no control over himself, he cant pull out or anything. that is a disgusting challenge that has no place in football

I have the same opinion of you regarding the Ashley Young dive.
I see your point in this case, but Kompany spreads his legs, I don't think Nani would have been hurt.
I would have played on.

spreading the legs is worse since the spread of the tackle is ALOT longer. it not only dangers the leg that may be near the ball it also dangers the leg thats around the ball.
if he spreaded his leg fully (like your mum looooool mum jokes ftw) and there was a huge gap then it could be fine but it was barely spread and he closed them near the end. you cant just lounge at a player like that, off the ground with 2 feet, studs showing.. its even worse that its from the front, since there is bound to be a colision, thankfully nani jumped... the fact he jumpes does not make the tackle any less worse
