I agree. I'd take Chamberlain too, not even because I support Arsenal.

Of course. He can't be our best player when he's in the stands. Maybe excluding him is a bit rash. Grant Holt for England? - Page 2 279869

I can understand the reasoning behind it though. No player should be made to believe they are bigger then the team. One of the reasons we've been shit all these years with players thinking their place is cemented regardless.

    Should do a mix.

    Like Germany did/still do.

Take a decent amount of youth mixed in with the experience (Like Klose for Germany)

Better to go out trying than to play a load of kids who could be winning us the Olympics. Grant Holt for England? - Page 2 2156770003

@Point - I agree with that. Players like Lampard, Terry, Cole and Gerrard get into the team without having to do anything for club or country, it's ridiculous. It's whats wrong with the national team set-up. If we were to drop them they might attempt to play better for club and if they are called up again for country.

Difference is the players who thought they were bigger than the team weren't particularly good.

How highly did you rate Greece's chances of winning Euro 2004, prior to the tournament?

Do you have to take 3 goalkeepers? I would take John Ruddy. Been exceptional for Norwich

There were no real powerhouses like there is with the current Spain and Germany teams.

    You don't have to, I don't think.

I'd take Hart seeing as the other two would be practically irrelevant unless Hart go injured it would be Ruddy and Foster.

Can see a lot of people having a problem with Hoilett playing for England.

But then Hargreaves was Canadian too wasn't he?

He plays on the right, no? We have far better options Chamberlain, Walcott, Lennon, and Milner. I don't think he's in our plans anyway.
